I like Paul Shelburne as an OBGYN. He is at Lovelace Women's Hospital on Montgomery. I moved here less than a year ago and am pregnant - everyone there is nice and he is very down to earth.

For general doc - I also like Ana Lisa Rodrigues at the Lovelace Rio Rancho clinic. She was very thorough and didn't make me feel rushed when I saw her for meds (being new in town I needed a Rx for things I take regularly).

good luck!

Hi D.,
I have used Dr. Jimmy Romero for years with the Presbyterian Center on Montgomery, just east of Wyoming. ###-###-####.He is a family doctor and he has done my yearly pap smears and total health care. He is very nice and asks if you have any questions and doesn't make it feel like he doesn't have time for you. My children are grown now but I like having one doctor that does it all.

Hey D.,

GREAT ObGYN at the lovelace woman's hosptial is Jeffrey Penikas.
GREAT GP at the lovelace on Juan Tabo is David (I think this is his first name) Sears.

Good luck. I shopped around a lot for both of these.

I see and love Dr Steven Komadina. He is on the westside of Albuquerque but it is worth the drive to see him. He only does GYN now so can spend time with you and is treats you like a person. His # is ###-###-#### and website is healthhorizonsusa.com. Good Luck, A.

My Ob/Gyn was Dr. Louisa Chavez. Located at Women's Hospital on Montgomery. She delivered both my kids. She's pretty strict (with pregnancies)...which my husband loved...and a little rough around the edges...which I liked. We have BCBS too.

Hi D.,
I think Dr. Robert Gordon takes Blue Cross Blue Shield. He is an OBGYN. He is my doctor and I have been very happy with him. As for the general practitioner, I don't know. His office is located near the main Presbyterian Hosptial.
