Looking for Good Pediatrician and Excellent Daycare

Hi,
I need to find a great pediatrician for my son. I am also looking for a wonderful daycare, that will provides lots of activities and age appropriate direction for him. I've not had any luck finding one on my own, and it's so frustrating. Any suggestions would be most welcome! Thanks so much!

I know of a pediatric group that is very good. Dr. Janet Noll is part of the group. They are all very good. I am an xray tech and have spoken with them numerous times. The parents too have no complaints.
As far as day care, my girls, 2 and 3 go to Medical Center Christian School. If you need CCDS assistance, they also accept that. They are a christian school. This summer I know that they are doing ABeka and Bob Jones ciriculums. The teachers are wonderful and there is a low student teacher ratio. Only about 8-10 kids in a class.

Hi L.,

I am from Houston also. I moved here in August to get married. I have a 4 year old daughter. There is a good daycare called country home. They have a website but can be a little pricy. I think they run about 135 per week. If you find a good pediatrician let me know. I have yet to find one. I have been to only one since moving here but it was not a pleasant visit.

A lot depends on what area of the city you'll be living in. We live close to Trinity University in the "near northside" Monte Vista area. We are very satisfied with Dr. Thomas Fitch who is not far away on Broadway. He is in joint practice with his father who is also a pediatrician. For day care, look into University Presbyterian Church--one of the best in town.

Hi, L.:

I have use Dr. Michael Ozer for the past 19 years for all my daughters. My youngest, who is 2, actually sees Dr. Rocha-Davis and she is wonderful. She is in Dr. Ozer's practice.

As for daycare, Little Steps by UTHSC and Castle Hills Learning Center on Callaghan/410 are wonderful.

Also you can go to the CCMS website and they will give you a listing of registered daycares/homes in the area you are looking for.

I hope this helps you in your search.

Bless you and yours,
G.
