Dr. Louis Stern is awesome. He has a great bedside manner. He delivered my twins 11 years ago. He has been my doctor for about 13 or 14 years. A lot of my friends go to him, too, and love him. I feel very comfortable asking any question imaginable. He is very attentive and makes you feel like you are his only patient. He spends as much time as you need during annual checkups. He has an educated answer for everything and stays on top of the latest and greatest medical technology.

I HIGHLY recommend seeing a midwife named Michelle at Heart 2 Heart Birth Center. She is wonderful! And so is the rest of the staff there! I really can't speak highly enough of them. I myself was already eight months along when I found out about them and as soon as I did I horribly regretted going to OB&GYN SPECIALISTS P.A.,(in Winter Park DON'T GO THERE). My experience with them was truly awful and I'm still having billing issues more then 5 months after the birth (I also had major issues with being put back on a breastfeeding friendly birth control and had to wait until more than 3 months PP!!!)

Heart 2 Heart also has fantastic birthing classes (I recommend going to Maggie McCarthy's HypnoBirthing class) and there's a woman there, who's name I can't remember, who makes the BEST slings!!! Having Maggie as my Doula also saved me from having my "nightmare" labor. ( I would probably have ended up with a drug induced, pain med. pumped, highly interventive, c-section) but instead... I had an ALL NATURAL birth, no meds, no constant pelvic exams, NO SCREAMING, absolutely wonderful labor in less than 7 hours (even the nurses were really impressed and kept asking me questions). I went from 2cm to 10cm dilated in 6.5 hours, it was incredible!

Best of luck to you and CONGRATS!

Everyone I know - including me - goes to Terrence Peppy, M.D. at Physician Associates, 7300 Sandlake Commons Blvd., Suite 300, Orlando 32819 (beside Florida Hospital) ###-###-####. He came highly recommended to me when I moved here 4 years ago and I highly recommend him to you.

I see Dr. Leigh White at Partner's in Women's Healthcare on Princeton St. in Orlando. She is very informative and takes the time to explain things that I don't understand. I prefer a woman when it comes to those things ;-)

I am waiting to find out if my husband and I actually conceived, so I am thrilled if she can deliver our baby. I won't know until maybe next week :-)

Have you had healthy pregnancies with your last two? Are you planning to have an uncomplicated natural birth? The Birthing Cottage of Winter Park takes Medicaid and they are wonderful! I had my second baby there and it was a wonderful experience. I had a very short labor and my husband and 3 year old were very comfortable there. There are several homebirth midwives in the area. Kelli Johnson comes highly recommended from several friends. There is an article about her on the Central Florida Green Guide: http://centralfloridagreenguide.com/2007/07/31/kelli-john...

Good luck!

Celebration OBGYN is awesome. I have been going there since I was 3 months along (I am now 32 weeks). There are 2 doctors--man & woman. I see Dr. Brandy Kim & she is an absolute doll. She really makes you feel like you are her only patient. The girls in the office are very nice & the nurses are just as nice if not better. I do not know if they accept medicaid, but you can call & ask. ###-###-####. Good luck & congratulations!
