My son's christening is coming up, and I want to find a bakery that makes good cakes. I've tried Kroger and Lo Bill cakes, and they're not the greatest. Thanks!

What can I do next?

We have enjoyed cakes from Jungle Jim's the last few parties we have held. They are really good for store baught cakes.

Servati's makes great cakes, the absolute best in Cincinnati is BonBonerie down in Hyde Park, we make the trip down there every year for birthdays, it's a half hour from you, but so so worth it, second would be Servatis, I think the one in the old Forest Fair mall is gone, Montgomery at Harpers Point on Montgomery Rd.
Good luck

Congratulations on your little boy.
We use Sam's Club, they are awesome with decorating and you get a lot of cake for what you pay. we get the half sheet and it can feed easily our large family with cake leftover. The cake is about $17, depending one how much decoration you want they can be more. You can get them filled or not. Costco also has a great cake. Depending on how big your gathering will be. Also there is the cupcake factory. They are pricy but very good. I have had Buskins, it is on the corner of route 4 and Kemper? (I can't rember the street name) White Castle and CVS are on the oppsite side.
There is also a lady that makes cakes on Resor Road, I have not tried them but I have seen a sign in her car for them. Her car is parked in the driveway at the stop before Gilmore.

Oh And there is a place down where Winton ( old Winton) and Mack Road meet up. There is a convient store in front and a bakery in back, ( I am not sure if they are still there though, it has been a while since I have driven down there)

But these places should allow you to try their cakes out before ordering.

Hope these give you some ideas.

Hello P.. Congratulations with the birth of your baby boy. That's so exciting.
If you don't mind going to West Chester or Springdale, our family has enjoyed Buskin's Bakery since moving out here in 2001. I have yet to have any problems with their bakery items. Meijer's Store bakery, Costo, and Sam Club cakes are pretty good too. I hope this helps. Good luck, and enjoy. Happy Easter.

P.,

Well we love Jungle Jims Cakes and Also Joyce's Tasty Cakes.
(http://joycestastycakes.com) We used Jungle Jims for our daughters baptism and we used Joyce's tasty cakes for her one year birthday. I have been told Sams cakes are really good also but still have not tried them. Hope this helps you out. Joyce's by the way is in Lindenwald.
