I am a Grandma of twin 4 year old girls and have them for 3 days starting tomorrow. I am looking for fun things to do with them.
They like just about everything and really like adventure. My son took them Kayaking and they loved it. I was thinking about doing an overnight camping trip maybe, or a water park...just not sure. Any advise would be GREAT!

What can I do next?

Picnics (have them help prepare the meal) then go for a walk. You can make leaf rubs or see how many birds they see. There are lots of splash parks in the Dallas area if you don't want to do the water park. I second Hawaiian falls and wouldn't take them to hurricane harbor at their age.

The Dallas and Fort Worth zoos are great. The science museum in Fort Worth is amazing. I've heard the Perot museum is awesome as well but haven't made it yet.

Enjoy time with your sweeties. They are blessed to have you!

It's looking like rain the next few days :( if your budget allows, great wolf lodge, shopping at American girl... Cosmic Jump(Bounce?) is fun as well... Take a stroll around Grapevine Mills and have lunch at Rainforest Cafe.

My aunt lives in Flower Mound, you live in a lovely area of Texas.

With the lakes you have in your area camping would be fun but they're still young enough to not understand the dangers that would pose.

I suggest, if you do go primitive camping, that when you seal the tent up you place yourself across the only doorway so if they try to move around or get out they'll wake you up. Getting out and wandering around in the dark could end up with a not so great outcome.

There are so many things in Dallas to do too. The zoo, Going Bonkers, the learning center at Lewisville Lake, Cosmic Jump if it's still open, ride a train, and more.

My 4 year old daughter really enjoys rock climbing at the YMCA - tot time or something like that. She also loves camping, swimming, hiking. We go camping a few times each summer and both our kids have a blast. Roasting marshmallows over the fire, collecting rocks, pretending they have a fort in the trees. We sometimes join the nature club's hikes. She loves exploring and talking to the other people on the hike. She can only do the shorter distance ones so far. Each year our town does a kids triathlon and she had a blast doing the little kid one for the last 2 years. The little kids wear a life vest in the pool and an adult is there to assist them if they want/need it. They give all the kids a little medal at the end. She is in kinderkick soccer now and really loves it. She also loves going fishing...they sell those tiny fishing rods at any big box store. Just casting it into the water is a blast for her. And she loves flying a kite...she doesn't want to stop once we get it up in the air. In the winter we are a skiing family (our town has a ski hill) and she is a very good downhill skier already. We've cross-country skied out to a yurt the last 2 winters (only a mile) and spent the night and she loved that too. We had to pull her part of the way on a sled. There are just so many fun things to do with an adventurous kid!

Hawaiian Falls in The Colony shouldn't be too far from you. It's a decent water park.

Of course you have Six Flags and Hurricane Harbour in Arlington... No too far.

Science Place at Fair Park in Dallas

Dallas aquarium in downtown Dallas area and go by Victory Park to see Channel 8 news live.

Train ride to Dallas Zoo, Ft Worth Zoo, Stockyards, IMAX theatre, paint and pottery.

Texas Rangers ball game or Frisco Roughriders baseball. We personally love the smaller venue for Frisco Roughriders.

There's a new indoor skydiving venue in Frisco as well.

Top Golf.

Have fun!!!
