Looking for Fun After Surgery
I am having surgery in a few weeks. I am looking for some fun websites. I will be on complete bed rest for minimum of 2 weeks & cant do much of anything for a total of 6 weeks. So I need something to occupy my time. My hubby bought me a laptop as a pre-surgery gift so I want to utilize it. I am not an interent surfer because only because I am not good at it. So if anyone has some websites that they really like, of any kind, I would greatly appreciate some ideas to help occupy my time. Thanks
not looking for just games but also some fun websites like etsy, etc.

Sounds like you're getting a tummy tuck! Lucky you! (or not, if I'm totally wrong :)
I love www.thepioneerwoman.com, and www.clevergirlgoesblog.com is always fun for a little sarcasm. I also love etsy and other crafting sites.
Good luck and enjoy the down time!

If you enjoy sarcasm and a little bit of 'snark' try the following sites:
www.bestparentever.com (not for the faint of heart or for those who haven't the faintest clue of what sarcasm means)

I just had surgery. I don't have any websites, but this is a great time to catch up with all sorts of other things. Like doing Christmas cards early, writing actual notes to people you haven't seen in awhile, reading some books and watching some chick movies. Good luck on your surgery!~

My kids and I enjoy making personalized (free) word searches and crossword puzzles using our own lives as clues:
http://puzzlemaker.discoveryeducation.com
Also, there is a site called Wordle where you type in words, poems, your kids names, etc and it makes pretty pictures with the words. You can change the colors and fonts. My kids get a kick out of doing that with me. here is the link:
Happy recovery!! Feel better soon!

Excite.com has some games as do other sites. Zuma is fun, I play a lot of the word games too. It keeps your mind occupied longer. My husband just had surgery. Redbox was great. I rented a bunch of movies for $1 and then as he watched them I returned them. Lastly, watch some television shows you really like but have missed. Most of the stations have their past shows on the internet.
