Looking for Family Camp Style Resort Close By

Found a few nights to sneak away towards end of next week. Was thinking about something different with structured kids activities (save the water & amusement parks for another trip)nothing glamorous just a break from home. Thinking it would give my DH & I break from entertaining the kids on vacay a bit too perhaps. Looks like the family camps are booked/not until later in the summer. Are there any more old fashion style resorts that have anything like this with 8 hours from here that you would recommend - IL, IN, MO, KY, WI, MI areas?

Thanks!

we just went to AMBOY, IL and I am sure they had room. had heyrides where the kids sing campfire songs on, 3 pools, golf cart rentals and walk in late night movies with the gold cart or blankets, paddle boats, fishing, sand beach, water and eletric, cute place and I am sure they have room.
Another place if you want rustic in the total woods we loved but opposite of this place is called Bob a Ron campground in MI. Google both for numbers.
have fun!J.

Don't know your religious beliefs but Maranatha Family Bible and Conference center, Muskegon Michigan. It sits right on Lake Michigan. Conference center has a pool and you can swim in the Lake. Kids activities and a break for parents. It is as structured or unstructured as you want it to be. An awesome experience.

I have heard canoe bay in WI is nice, but not sure about their kids program. Good luck, I am interested in the responses.
