Looking for Elastic Waist Long Pants (No Zipper, Etc) for My Toddler

My almost 3 year old will only wear pants that have an elastic waist - no zippers, snaps or buttons. This is fine with me and it makes it easier for him to get them on and off for potty training. He just recently went from 2T to 3T. I had two pairs of Cisco pants from Target and he loves them (hates the jeans and other pants I have for him). Problem is Target no longer has these pants or any like it (I've been to three), and I went to Old Navy and Marshalls with no luck. I don't have time to shop around - can someone tell me where I might find some? Thank you!!

What can I do next?

Walmart has them at least most of the ones i have been to I get them for my own ease. They cost 4.88 right befor christmas and they are usually on a 3 tiered rack. folded.

My son is the same way when it comes to zippers and snaps. I have gotten some elastic waist jeans at Walmart for cheap...like $5! They tend to have them in denim, khaki, and navy colors. Hope this helps!

I have a friend who just dropped off a bag of clothes her sister was passing down to me and in there are four pairs of elastic waist pants. Three are 3T and one is 4T. You are welcome to them if you are in the area. They are in good condition.

All 3 of my kids are the same way. Elastic only. I buy elastic waist pants for my toddler at Naartje, they are at Arden Fair and Roseville malls, also on line. Also try the Children's Place, ditto info.

Hi J.,
We only bought elastic waist pants for our son when he was a little guy, too. My husband had a few too many "zipper accidents" as a boy and wanted to skip zippers for our son as long as possible (in case the 'quick zipper slip up' was passed on, lol). That was fine by me. Our son still prefers them actually (easy on his gut and he has 'gut issues'), but we buy both kinds now. I'm sorry Target no longer carries them in the younger kid sizes (they still have elastic pants in the big kids section --not Cisco). We bought most of ours there. Toys R Us has a clothing section (or Kids R Us -maybe online) and we use to buy them there as well. We also shopped the Carter's Outlet in Folsom (if it's still there) for them and the children's dept at Nordstrom's. Have you thought about ordering the Cisco pants online from the manufacturer? Also, Wal Mart's boys dept is another we've bought elastic waist at in the past.
Good luck!

J.,

We have the same issue and when our 5 year old is not wearing sweats, all he wears are elastic waist pull on pants. Mervyns has some that are kind of thin in material weight, but he loves them and they have several colors to choose from. Good luck to you! P.

Try getting pants in a larger size with the adjustable waists. My son is skinny (he's 4 and all legs and arms). We get the size 4T, 5T, and 4/5 sizes with adjustable waists. They have buttons, zippers, snaps, etc, but also have elastic waists. Inside is another piece of elastic that has holes to cinch the waists. It's an option that might work for you. My son doesn't use his buttons/zippers either - usually because he's in too much of a hurry, but the pants pull down easily. Target and Wal-Mart have pants like this. I hope this helps.
