Looking for CHRISTIAN Psychiatrist for Adolesents/Teens in Dallas, TX. Area.

I'm looking for a CHRISTIAN psychiatrist who works with young teens and works with OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder)patients in the Dallas, TX. area. Our current Dr. recently died and we are looking for a Christian who is taking new patients.

What can I do next?

There's a place on Lemmon in Dallas call Pastoral Counseling Center. It's a Christian environment and they work on a sliding scale. Check out their website http://www.pcec-counseling.org/

I have gone there and it's wonderful.

I am not sure if he deals with OCD or not but you could give it a shot. He is WONDERFUL. Has helped me several times work thru things. He goes to Saturn Rd Church of Christ.

I have heard good things about Day Springs.

Another resource would be to call the councilng department Dallas Theological Seminary and see who they would recommend.

I really like Dr. Victoria Martin, MD. She is in Richardson. I go to her for my ADD, but she definitely treats children and adolescents as well. She is SO knowledgeable and so EASY to talk to. She also is very open about her Christian faith which was important for me. You can check out her website at victoriamartinmd.com - there is a lot of useful information. She is also really easy to get an appointment with, usually within a few days of when you call. I hope this helps and I am sorry to hear about your other doctor, I know that will be a hard transition.
