Looking for Certain Toys
First of all thank you to everyone who gave me information on books for my six year old grandson. That was huge and such great suggestions. You guys are the best, especially since it's been a long time since I've bought childrens books it's nice that you have a group to fall back on that know what's going on now. So here is my next question and see if you can help me out. I must be getting really old because I don't quite get people buying up these toys the kids want so bad and selling them for 100 % mark-up on ebay. Somewhere along the way that is not what I learned the meaning of Christmas to be all about, get there first and get the best toys and most money. But I am trying to find two toys that I just cannot find for my granddaughter now. If any of you see them on your outings would you let me know or if you have seen them let me know.
The first item is Little Superstar Sing Along Stage. I can find the band but not the stage. It retails for around $40 but of course ebay is up to 90 and I'm not going to give into that. The other item is called Tiny Love follw me fred. The little superstar is by fisher price and even they don't show it on their website but it is still available, just finding it and the tiny love is sold out everywhere you go. So if you can help me out I'd really really appreciate it. Thanks

Stage:

I bought both of these for my daughter last year through Baby Center (diapers.com) so I can vouch for the site's shipping/arrival of product.
Happy shopping!

I found them both on Amazon.com, it looks like the Superstar Sing A Long is discontinued therefore, supply and demand.

Request to see on craigslist if someone has it and wants to get rid of it.
Always a good option.

Have you tried Learning Express? They have a lot of the toys that other stores do not carry. They also seem to have more on hand. Good luck!

One other thing that I recommend for ANY hard-to-find toy is to contact a family member or friend who lives in an out-of-the way, rural town. My MIL lives in a small town of 3,000 which is at least an hour from the closest big city. They have a Wal-Mart, and another town about 45 minutes away (where she goes shopping anyway) has other stores like JCPenny and Kohls.
She's often able to get things at her stores that are sold out here in the DFW area. I don't know if their demand for the "IT" toys isn't as great or what. But it's worth a try.
Good luck!

I also have the stage that I was going to sell on Craigslist. It's in almost perfect condition. I am in the Little Elm/Frisco area if you're interested.

well, i haven't read all the responses here, but at the risk of sounding like a big ol party pooper...
getting the toy you want (any toy) is not what i learned the meaning of Christmas to be all about. perhaps you could spend your time and energy with your precious grandbabies instead of chasing after some much-desired toys all season long.
(wow, i'm snarky this morning, sorry!) :P

P., I don't know where you live but I have the stage and microphone. I was going to sell it in the garage sale next weekend. My daughter never really used it. It is in great shape. You can send me a private message if you are interested. I would be happy to let you look at it and buy it.
