Hi, I am looking for an art class for my 3 yr old daughter. She loves all kinds of arts and crafts and I think she would love a art class. I can not find any in my area which is the ft. worth/ Aledo area. I am hoping that someone can help me because I am getting deseperate to find some classes or activties for her.

What can I do next?

Hi Kristen,

VanGrow on 7th street in FW is a great place and also my daughter took art classes from a woman named Michelle that comes to Kinderplatz (FW) and her artwork is amazing!!! My daughters art that is. She was 5 years old when she started taking it, so I'm not sure how young she goes. But there are two places that you can look into.

Good luck!

The Van Grow Art Studio is at 7th street and montgomery in fort worth. We just had my daughter's birthday there and several of the people who came said their children had taken lessons there and loved them. We had a wonderful time at the party. You can check out their website at www.vangrowstudio.com. Good luck!

I don't know about art classes, but TCU has a great program for early childhood music. My son loved going to class (although he was the only boy in the class), learning rythem and fun songs while being goofy. They use all types of instruments, it's a really hands on class and the teacher's are great. Here's their website - http://www.musicprep.tcu.edu/earlychildhood.asp

They also do other types of music classes as well.

Hi K., I'm not sure if this helps or not but I live in Aledo and belong to a moms group. We meet once a month while our kids are watched with their age kids in another part of the building. We have moms night out get togethers and play dates for the kids at least once a month. Go to www.mops.org for more info. Welcome to Aledo.

Kristen,

Michaels Crafts has art projects for kids - m,t,th,f from 10-11. Cost is $2 per project (per day). I usually only go a couple times a month but both my boys enjoy it.
