Hi, I just moved from Pembroke Pines to the Boca/Delray area. I am looking for a good OBGYN. Does anyone have any recommendations? I plan on getting pregnant again this year and also need some advice on good hospitals in the area to deliver.
Thanks.

Hi K.,

There is a group of Doctors on SW 18th and Powerline Road. I see the midwife Rachel Devaney. She was wonderful and helped me deliver a healthy little girl at West Boca Medical Center which was a very good hospital.

Hi K., I had both my babies delivered by the practice Kennedy, McCormick, Douglas and Bernick ###-###-#### great practice it is in boca raton. Also the best hospital I felt is Boca Community hospital- My third I had in Wellington and it was nothing as nice has the Boca hospital. By the way i live in W. LakeWorth only about 20 minutes from that area! I am involved in the MOPs club and love it- a great way to meet other moms. I also would recommend the moms club of Delray; I heard that it is a great chapter. If you have any questions just email me! have a nice night P.

I go to a group practice that was recommended to me by several people when I moved here last year (I was 31 weeks pregnant at the time)...they are a great practice, and I delivered at the only hospital that has a level 3 NICU in the area (I didn't need it, but it was nice to know it was available just in case). My doctor in the practice is Dr. Stewart Newman, and he's awesome. They have an office in Boca and one in Boynton Beach, and the practice is called Women's Healthcare Associates (http://whamd.com/default.aspx). The hospital is West Boca Medical Center. Good luck!

I must agree with the the others. Women's Healthcare Assoc. is great! I delievered both of my sons with them. Generally you are assigned a Dr (all of which are great but you'll figure out which one you like best). Toward the end of your pregnancy you'll rotate to all of them anyway just so you get to know them since you never know who will be "on call" when baby decides it's time. My doctor is Dr. Jane Rudolph. She's great! Dr. Arcelin delivered my first at Boca Community, which was a fine experience. Was planning on going back there for my second but with major complications during that pregnancy I was sent to West Boca Medical Center. Because of their level 3 NICU, Dr Rudolph and Dr Friedman delivered my second son way early... The entire staff at L&D and in the NICU were excellent! I was there 11 days total.

Oh- if you are interested in a nurse midwife, they have two awesome women at Women's Healthcare Assoc. Terry Difilipo (sp?) and Rachel Devaney. Both are great and come highly recommended. I had actually switched to Terry for my second pregnancy but b/c of the complications I had to switch back to the doctors.

Hope this helps.

Hi K.

Here is a number for a group ###-###-#### located on 18th street in boca. A big group great Dr's you should be able to find someone in there to take a new pt. If you have a question about a specific Dr in there let me know. Also Dr. Lubetkin in Boca he is wonderful also. I work at West Boca so I am familar with a lot of the local Dr's. Good Luck. MOM of a 16 month old boy. L.

I go to Dr. Melissa Friedman - she isin the Women's Healthcare practice at the corner of SW 18th and Powerline. If you can not get into her, there are many other Dr's in the practice and they are all fantastic!

Hi K.-

I highly recommend Women's Healthcare Assoc on Powerline & SW 18th St. I used them for my last pregnancy and am using them again for my current one. Dr Rudolph is my dr and she is awesome although I have met everyone at the practice and like them all. Great practice in general and they have a great reputation for lowest c-sections and episiotomies too! GL with your search.
