Since my Doctor won´t have time for me anymore (next possible appointment end of September!) I need to find a new one. Does anybody know a good Beaumont ObGyn in Troy area? Thank you so much!

What can I do next?

I'll add myself to the list that recomends Generations OBGYN in Birmingham. They're wonderful for all of the reasons already mentioned. Dr. McCloskey delivered my daughter :) Dykowski (sp?) also ranked high for me. He is so sweet. All of the other doctors are great too but these two were extra great =)

Dr. Adelman off of Big Beaver/Crooks. He is ranked as the #1 OB through Beaumont. He is a one man show, has excellent bedside manor, and really cares about you as a patient. I was having issues with a pediatrician and he called me and helped me find a new one. He is wonderful!

The BEST practice in Troy is Oakland-Macomb OBGYN. It is located on South Blvd. just west of Dequindre. They have 7 doctors on staff as well as 4 midwives. I am a patient there and absolutely love them!
I see the midwives but have also seen 3 of the doctors. The midwives really spend a lot of time talking with you and answering any questions you may have (they also do all routine check-ups as well as prenatal visits, and a midwive actually delivered my son).
I teach a parent-toddler class in Troy and so many of the mothers use this practice and love it.They have a nice website: http://www.oaklandmacombobgyn.com/

Highly recommend Somerset OB/GYN in Troy (Big Beaver/Coolidge). ###-###-#### is the phone number. I go to Dr. Ohm but have seen all the doctors throughout 2 pregnancies I have had with them. All are very good. A lot of friends I have go there too and really like Dr. Seltzer (female doctor) as well.

I lived in Troy years ago and went to Generations OB GYN in Birmingham (Woodward Avenue). I now live in Farmington an continue to go there as I was happy with them. I have gone through both of my pregnancies with them. I see Dr. Jacalyn MCCloskey and love Dr. Mark Dykowsky as well. They both have been recognized to be among the best OB GYN in the Detroit Metro Area more than 2 years in a row (I think the rank in made by prefessionals, other doctors, nurses and health workers). I like all the doctors in the practice except Dr. Dean. He is very good but seems to allways be in a hurry to see you and go to his next task.

I am also a patient of Oakland-Macomb OBGYN and love it! I am not fortunate enough to be able to use the midwives b/c of a prior surgery, but Dr. McBride has seen me through 2 pregnancies and some difficult times (I am due to deliver this baby June 20) and he is great. They have both male and female doctors in the practice which is nice, but they are also a large practice, which is not for everyone. Even with all their docs though, everytime I have seen a new one they are very aware of my situation and history, so they certainly do their homework before they walk in to see you!

Good luck with your search.

I live in Troy and go to Generations OBgyn in Birmingham. Another lady already posted the website and phone number. I love the practice! I had a great experience my entire pregnancy and I really liked all the doctors. I know everyone has their own opinions about people and some people like certain doctors better than others. I just want to add in my two cents about Dr. Dean from Generations, since someone below said they did not care for him. Dr. Dykowski was my favorite and I was keeping my fingers crossed that he was going to be on call the day I delivered. I had only seen Dr. Dean once and it was for a shorter appointment, more towards the beginning of my pregnancy. My husband and I were filling out our paperwork at Beaumont (hoping I was really in labor!) and he walked down the hall and recognized me right away. I was in fact in labor and Dr. Dean was with me every step of the way! I could not have asked for a better doctor to deliver my daughter. He was fantastic!

I'm not sure if my doctor is taking new patients, but he is at 15 mile and coolidge. His name is Dr. Mark Schare ###-###-####. He is out of Beaumont R.O. I don't usually have a problem getting in to him. He also just delivered my first baby. Which was premature. He was great through all of it. His staff is also excellent. Dottie works the front desk, Jill is his nurse. He shares the office with another doctor, but they do not share practices.

Good luck!! I know what it's like trying to find a new ObGyn.

I love my Beaumont Ob/Gyn. I found her through the Beaumont Physician Referral Service when I became pregnant with my fourth child. I'd had enough of waiting endlessly and being canceled on by my previous OB. Dr. B. was like a breath of fresh air! Always punctual, always attentive, very efficient. I was in and out of my OB check ups in 20 minutes or less.

I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Anna Bida-Dudun. Her office is on West Big Beaver in Troy. ###-###-####. Her waiting room could use a makeover, but don't let that throw you. She's partnered with an older doctor since I first met her and is now sharing his office space. She's a great doctor and a wonderful woman.

I work for an ob/gyn office .... Women First OB/GYN in downtown royal oak. Give the office a call and we can get you in within the next few weeks with our PA.... our office is short staffed right now becasue one of our dr's left to get married. And if it matters to you we are an all women's practice. Dr. Sanborn from Generations use to also be with us but he trimmed back his hours and only works out of Generations now.

I also go to Dr Hodge/Kwiser/Steenken - from Troy William Beaumont. I have been their patient since 1990 and have had all three of my children with them. I have recommended them to everyone. I have never had a problem with them on anything - even questions at 1 am.

I go to the Oakland-Macomb OBGYN also and I LOVE them! Dr. McBride is the best and did my first c-section on me and is going to do my second. I have seen all of the doctors there and they are all wonderful. I have seen two of the midwives before too and they were both great too. I have nothing but good things to say about this practice. They are located right by Troy Beaumont hospital too off of South Boulevard.

Hallo Melanie,

This is a great OB/GYN physician and nurse midwives'group on South Boulevard right North of Troy Beaumont Hospital. I gave natural birth to my three boys (now 11 yrs, 6 yrs and 2 yrs. old) with help of the Nurse midwives in this group. Since I am A Physiotherapist, I am choosy with physicians! A very caring and highly competent group called Oakland/Macomb OB/GYN ###-###-####
Ich bin auch von Deutschland und eine Freundin von mir die mit Zwillingen schwanger ist geht auch dorthin und ist sehr zufrieden.
Wuerde Dich gern kennenlernen! Ruf mich mal an wenn Du lust hast ###-###-#### oder ###-###-####. Alles Gute dann mit Deiner Suche, C.

I had my second at Oakland Macomb too. They are wonderful. Isabel was delivered by Dr. Stark and Dr. Love by c-section. Two of my cousins also had their babies delievered there. There was not one Dr. I did not like. My aunts go there for gyn issues as well.
