Dr. Barbara Nugent in S. Arlington next door to the Medical Center of Arlington on Matlock/Mayfield Rd. She is an Opthamologist and her husband (Matt Nugent) is the Optometrist. Both are great honest people! I would recommend them to anyone.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Altig for about 10 years now. He is great, has given me free contacts when I could not afford them along with excellent discounts on our glasses. I would not trust my eyes with anyone else! He is located on Western Center in North Fort Worth, close to 35. His phone number is ###-###-####.

Dr. Jerry Cotner on North Dallas/Richardson border at Promenade shopping center (Coit & Arapaho). He is a wonderful opthamologist and loves what he does. He is a more mature gentleman-- I actually saw him as a young girl & have returned to him as an adult. He actually changed my prescription because the optometrist I had gone to made my prescription too strong. He has such passion for his work, and takes plenty of time to be sure he gets your prescription right, as well as covering any questions you might have, the way you care for your eyes, tips to keeps your eyes healthy longer, etc. Plus he's nice, wich is a bonus. I am VERY picky about my physicians & he passes every test with flying colors! I'd want him checking my pilots eyesight!

I highly recommend Dr. Tran at Simply Eyes. The office is on Hebron between Lewisville and Carrollton, right next to 121. Website is http://www.simplyeyes.com/. Not sure if this location is convenient for you, but he is a very good doctor and he has a very helpful staff.

I saw an ophthomologist several years ago who had offices at the Ballpark at Arlington. He was a retired Air Force officer. I went to him for an evaluation for laser surgery and suggested that I not have the surgery because my eyes were too dry.

I don't remember his name and he moved from there to Lewisville, I think.

The Texas Vision Center in the NorthEast Mall! The two doctors are a husband/wife team, and I'm sure they are both great. Dr. Ference (the man), is incredibly thorough! He spends a good hour looking at the eye, and never hurries the examination. Plan to be there 1 or 2 hours while he does your individual examination. I've seen eye doctors all over the country since I was 14, and I've never had anyone look at my eyeballs soo long! (I thought there was something wrong, but when I talked to other family members who referred me there, they said he was that way with everyone). I've since took my husband and children there, and we've all had thorough exams and gotten the right prescriptions! Their phone is ###-###-####
