Looking for Affordable Pre-school/mom's Group in Taylorsville/west Jordan
Hi everyone :-) I am now facing the issue of putting my 3 year old in pre-school! I don't think she really needs to go this early, however, she needs more social interaction with other children than playing with her neighborhors and cousins! I have looked into early pre-school/mom's groups and am finding they are quite expensive! It's not that I am trying to be cheap, but 200 dollars for a once a week group seems kinda high. I already work with my daughter on learning activities..ABC's/123's (things of that nature). We just need to find a group that's close to home and reasonably priced. We live in the Taylorsville/West Jordan area, if anyone has any suggestions i'm open to them! Thanks, C.

I have my own preschool that will be starting the first week of September. It is on M/W from 9-11. It is $60/month and there is a $25 registration fee. I live off of 9000 S. and 4800 W. If you want more information, let me know. I also have a friend that teaches preschool in Taylorsville if that is closer to you. My email is ____@____.com

This is just a general suggestion for you since I'm in SLC and don't know what's in T/WJ.... My son has had to be in a daycare from the get go and all of the ones I checked out in SLC were full time (full price even if you wanted your child there 1 or 2 days/wk). If you find a daycare that you like and it's only full time, offer up the creative solution of splitting a position with another child or two. Chances are there are other moms in your same position. I've seen this situation accommodated at my son's current daycare and it's been a win win situation for everyone. Good luck!

My daughter goes to Jacques Preschool. It is in Taylorsville. This will be her second year and we love it. The 3 year old class goes 2 days a week (2 and a half hours each day). I think it is just less than $100 a month. Good luck.

It's not West Jordan, but my kids go to Murray Community Preschool. It is soooo amazing and quite affordable. My 3 year old little girl is going 2 days a week this next year and I think it's like $105/month or something. I too majored in Early Childhood Education, so I was VERY picky in finding a preschool. This one is absolutely Fabulous. Check it out. The phone number is ###-###-#### if you want to call and see what classes are still available. I know it fills up early.

Hi C. My son goes to Miss Luna's Little learners. It's in West Jordan across from the Airport. He loves it. The price is reasonable. check out the webiste. The classes are filling up fast. He went last year and is going again this year. I have nothing but good to say about Miss Launa and her teachers.

Moms club is $20-25 a year. There are several activities a month. You pick and choose which ones would be best for you. I wouldn't put my 3 year old in preschool as you sound like you are doing a great job already. The moms club should offer you and your child social interaction. I don't know the website off the top of my head but I do know who is in our area. I also live in the West Jordan/Taylorsville area.

Hi C.,
My mom has a daycare in our home. She is currently watching my son who is 3 1/2 and my daughter who is 7 when she is out of school/off track while I am working. She is also watching a little girl who is 3 and her two brothers who are 5 and 7. She has an opening because the older ones are in school and it would be fun to have someone else for the two kids to play with. They do all sorts of crafts, play outside, work on preschool stuff and just have lots of fun. If you need more info you can call my mom her name is A. ###-###-####
We are on about 9900 So and just west of Redwood Rd.
Good luck,
Angie

I don't know how much they cost, but check out the high school closest to you; most of them have preschool programs that the high school students work in for class credit. I "worked" in the one at T-ville while I was a senior there, and it is tons of fun for the kids. I also have 2 nieces who attended there last year and loved it.
