I would love to get my 2 ½ year old daughter into an art class or gym class that is not too expensive. It would have to be on the weekends because I work. Any suggestions? We live in Dallas, Richardson, Garland, Mesquite area but could travel farther.

Hi A.,

Have you heard of Kindermusik? I just started my daughter in the Spring session, from January to June it was only $205 for 45 minute classes once per week. We sing and dance, the parents are involved with the children. They learn to share in the class as well among other things.

Try www.kindermusik.com to find a place close to you. They also offer a coupon to come join a class for free to see if you like it.

Check through the city. They usually offer a variety of things through the Parks and Recreation department. They normally have a catalog of courses.

We are also in Lake Highlands. Lots of frineds and their children love ASI Gymnastics and it seems pretty affordable. You might also check out the YMCA or Eastfield College summer programs for kids...
