Looking for a Sweet Girl Name for Third Baby

I would love to hear some great girl name suggestions. We already have a name if it's a boy, but are stuck if it is a girl.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Well, I just got back from my ultrasound, and we are having another girl! If it had been a boy, we were going to name him Jonas (which I LOVED!). My older girls are Katelyn Sylvia and Audrey Anne. Sylvia is a family name and Anne is because I love the Anne of Green Gables stories, plus my sister in law's middle name is Ann. My husband like Abigail, which I really like also, but am concerned about the popularity of it. There are 5 Abi/Abigails in our preschool already. He also likes Annalise. I am leaning toward Violet Evelyn. Evelyn is another family name. Keep your suggestions coming, though as my hubby and I can not seem to agree just yet! Thanks.

We considered Hannah, Julia, Sophie, Lily, Sabrina and Audrey (although it looks like you already have that one covered =). We ended up naming our girls Corinne and Isabelle. Congrats on girl #3!

Are you game for sweet names from other languages? I had about 35 on my list that were nixed by my Chinese husband. But he was killing me with names like "Horst" and "Enzo" for a boy anyway. Thank goodness we had a girl! Here are some of my favorites that we didn't use:

Lian means lotus blossom in Chinese

Cai means colorful in Chinese

Hana means blossom in Japanese

Pearlie means small pearl in English (like country English.)

Pera is "pear" in Italian, and Perdita means bee in Latin.

Dolcezza is "honey" or "sweetheart" in Italian

Paloma means dove in Spanish

Lulu is a French derivative of Louise

I LOVE girl names....and btw, your girls' names are lovely. Some of the ones we loved when looking at names were: Gabriella, Arianna, Sophia (hubbie didn't like this one), Jamsine, Annalise (which you already mentioned) and Madeline. We ended up naming our little girl, who is now 4-years-old, Isabella Rose (even though we almost always call her Bella). I love the family name idea; Rose is my maternal grandmoher's name. Happy name hunting....and congrats on your soon-to-be baby #3! :)

What are your other daughters' names?

I like Charlotte, Averi, Kaitlyn, Sascha, Beatrix, Violet...

Out of curiousity, what's your boy name?

Like you we are expecting our 3rd little girl in October and for the life of me I have no clue what we'll name her. We had a boy name picked out. My girls names are Alaina Marie and Malia Ann. Both after their grandma's. I like the names Alea,Melania, malaya, but I won't be able to use them because they are to close to Malia's name. I am so stuck in picking a name this time.We can't seem to agree. I also really like Sarrie or spelled Seri. It means Princess in Hebrew and serene and calm in latin. I am all for those meanings with the 4th baby. I need all the help I can get. I'll be staying away from names that mean wild child and such. I'll be reading all the suggestions you recieve. Good luck , R.

C.,
I have an Abigail Rose. She goes by Abby. Fortunately she's the only Abby in her class, but there is a Gabby and Addy! Abigail is indeed becoming quite popular these days!
Anyway, the other girl names I almost went with that I love to this day are Evie, not with a long E but short. I also, like you LOVE the name Violet for a girl! So cute! I also love Edie, with a long E. Let us all know what you decide to go with, girl names are tough cause there are sooo many! I also thought about the name Kelly, which was very popular when I was growing up in the 80's. That is a pretty unique name these days and I've always liked it. Middle names go well with Kelly. Good luck and congrats!!
