My stepdaughter has been invited to her school's homecoming dance. Do you moms know of a store that sells special occasion dresses? We visited Whatchamacallit today, but had no luck finding a dress that my stepdaughter liked. We live in Far North Dallas so finding a store in our area wound be great, but we don't mind driving.

Terry Costa at Preston and LBJ has great dresses and the sales associates are really friendly and helpful.
Special Occasion dresses is located on Preston Rd in N Dallas. They have nice dresses. Also, a new store opened at Willow Bend Mall with special dresses.
I really recommend a place like Neiman-Marcus. I have never gone wrong finding the perfect dress there. They are not as overpriced as you might think. The most I've paid personally is $400. However the last 3 I purchased was around $200. They have Alterations om the spot which is great.
Other alternatives I would suggest would be Nordstrom, White Black ( daughter (14)got a great dress there).

The new JCPenney in Allen has Homecoming dresses and they're really reasonalby priced. They had some really beautiful ones from Allen B.
