I am looking for a small pediatrician office in the South Hills. I just moved back to Pittsburgh after being in Akron for 3-1/2 years, where I had my daughter and ended up with a great Dr. for her. I am looking for a practice with maybe 1 or 2 dr's. I have been to a practice locally a few times and I already have a bad taste in my mouth about it. I am in Castle Shannon now, so anywhere in the south hills would be great. Thanks ahead of time ladies.
Well, I just want to thank everyone for their responses. The winning office is.....Bower Hill pediatrics. I chose this one because I got a lot of responses about it and it had what I was looking for. Ladies, what a breath of fresh air. I had to take my daughter because the she was being treated for an ear infection by the other doctor and after a week on antibiotics the cough and fever came back. I took her to Dr. Breit and she still had a double ear infection and now pnemonia. Dr. Breit and staff are wonderful and really great with my daughter. Thank you all for the input I now feel like I am being listened too.

I absolutely love the doctors. There are two of them, Robert N. Breit, M.D. and Paula Naples, M.D. The receptionist is always pleasant. I made an appointment to talk to the doctors and got any question I had answered before taking my daughter there. I highly recommend them and they are located in the south hills.

I have a great recommendation for you but the practice is pretty big. The practice is called Children's Community Health - doctor i LOVE is Dr. Michael Frac. He is really great. ###-###-####. My second favorite in the practice is Dr. Park.

I take my kids to Pediatrics South on Mt. Lebanon Blvd across from McDonalds. They have 4 doctors and 2 nurse practitioners but it has the feel of a smaller office. I've never had a long wait time. We've never been in the waiting room with more than 2 other families. The staff is nice. We've never had trouble getting an appointment. They have never hestitated to follow up on a recurring condition or send us to a specialist if necessary. I am really happy with the care they've given us. We also use Bower Hill Pediatrics on Vanadium Rd. as I saw one of your other requests did as well. They are wonderful and being a small practice of 2 doctors and 1 nurse practitioner is perfect. The staff is fabulous as well.

I second CCP-Mt. Lebanon. I love that place. As the other poster stated, the nurses ALWAYS take your call . And if you want your child seen for whatever reason , they always find you a spot the same day.
We used to go to Steel City Pediatrics when my son was first born and switched. There was more then 1 doctor back then . But I was less than impressed.
I'm an RN and very critical of all our health professionals and CCP- Mt. Lebanon passes with flying colors all the time. We have been going there for about 8 years now and never a complaint.
