Looking for a Playgroup in the Sea World Area!!!!

Oh San Diego! I miss San Diego. I've been here since February. I've started a playgroup at my church Northwest Church of Christ. We are meeting every Thursday. This week we are meeting at Emerald Park located off 1604 and Culebra at the intersection of Timber Path and Cliffbriar. I don't know where you live but we are not to far from seaworld over off 1604. I have 3 kids 11 yr old girl 5 yr old girl and 1 yr old boy and we go to sea world quite a bit if you wanted to meet up there sometime. I take the kids to the big play area in the center but now that it is hot we will be spending more time at the water park area. Let me know if you are interested in getting together.

Go to meetup.com and look for parent groups in NorthWest San antonio there is a pretty active playgroup there.

Can't really get into the play date thing because things are just too hectic. And my children are in Houston or with other family just had my gallbadder out so trying to rest you can see I'm bored...

Just a few things I have found over my life-time as a mommy here in SA:

My advice to you is to get a Zoo family pass as low as 50 or 60 dollars. With all the kids is pays for itself the first time. We have had a membership for 4 years and it great. They have a little water hole where the kids can swimming.

The Witte (on Broadway) is free on tuesday after 3.

Kidstown on San Pedro has summer offers.

Maybe a VBS for the older kids.

The library and some restuarant have summer reading programs where they recieve free prizes/treats.

AMC theater last year had a free movie on Wednsday mornings at 9.

S., I too am looking for things to do this summer. I have a 9yo girl and a 5yo boy. We don't have the money to be able to go to a lot of the local attractions so I am looking for other moms with kids around their age to play with. I think your girls and older son would love to play with mine, and I also have some of my kids toddler toys to help keep the little one busy. I also have a neighbor who has a 9yo girl, a 5yo girl and a 10 or 11 mo boy. They might also be interested in playing with the kids. Finally, we have a swimming pool in our complex that might be fun occassionally for the kids to play together.

Hi S.! My name is M. M. I'm 27 and have an 8yr old son. He will be 9 in July. (I'd love to have a larger family like yours!) Anyhow, I know how you feel about school being out. I've been looking for things to do with my son also. I think this week is the zoo. We live over by 1604 and Shaenfield. About 10 mins from Sea World. Let me know if you'd like to get together one week to do lunch at like McDonalds and let the kids play. It'd be great if there were more mothers interested also.
