One idea is MOMS Club. You can go to momsclub.org to find a club in your area. Another one that I recently joined is a yahoo group.

Hi, K.. I'll be here a year in April and really don't know anyone. I have 2 girls, one almost 14 months and the other 2 months. I live in Universal City, near Randolph AFB. There's a girl with another 11 month old who posted on here last week that I I'm going to get together with for a play date -- maybe you could join us? We haven't set anything up yet, but have talked about McDonalds or a park, anywhere! Let me know if you'd be interested. We'd both like to get to know other moms, for adult conversation & I'd love my 14 month old to have some kids her own size :)

Hi, I don't know exactly where you are, but have you checked into MOMS Club? The website is www.momscclub.org. Just email them and tell them what zip code you are in, maybe a nearby intersection, and they can probably hook you up w/ a local club. It is a wonderful way to meet other moms, and invariably other kids for yours. Good luck!

Hi. I wanted to inform you of a MOMS club of the Schertz area. It is primarily for stay at home moms. There is usually at least one "event" each week for members to attend. We do park days, brunches, mall strolling, etc, and there are also playgroups within the club (divided according to age groups). It only costs $20/year. I don't know if you are eligible for the Schertz area or not. It is based on zip code. There is also a Northeast club. If you would like to know more feel free to email me, and I can put you in touch with our membership VP.
