Looking for a Place to Hold First Birthday Party; West Bloomfld, Commerce Area
My daughter turns 1 in the beginning of May and I' m planning on it still being cold out. My house is too small for more than a few people and am looking for some other options as to where to hold a first birthday party. Kid friendly, not too pricey, nothing too fancy...any suggestions???

I had my sons 1st Birthday last yeat at the Costick Activities Center in Farmington Hills. I had a large family/friends party and did a cinco de mayo theme as my sons Birthday is 5/3. They were great to work with and verrry affordable.
I too am looking for suggestions for this year small party with about 16 kids.
Good Luck,
M.

I too live in White Lake and my son's bday is in May (5-10-04). We did inflatable planet in Waterford and I was really happy. It was inexpensive, and the pizza they serve was good. . .

If you call the Abilities Center at ###-###-####, I could do a little "musical birthday party" for you. I have been a music teacher for 20 years and love children. I teach Kindermusik at the Abilities Center. In fact, we're starting new classes in April for children your daughters age! If you don't want a musical theme for your daughters birthday, they have other options too. Good luck!

We are having our sons 1st birthday at O'Tooles in Waterford. It is a family restaurant with a large, bright area on the far side of the restaurant. Plenty of room for the kids to run around and the prices are really resonable. They also told us that they have the ability to play children's DVDs while the party is in progress. I spoke to the General Manager Ben. My sister-in-law had her twins first birthday there and it was great.

How about Gymboree (for a 1 year old crowd, this would be great...parachute time...soft, climbing playthings, "Gymbo" comes out at the end)...or Chuckie Cheese's...or the playground at Great Lakes Crossing, with the party at Rainforest Cafe...or Build-a-Bear (my nine year old son still sleeps with his build a bear frog that has all of his preschool hearts and wishes in it (the kids get to put a wish and a kiss inside the bithday child's"bear")...it's about $10 a kid...and, if you're going to the Somerset one, you can also go to that cookie place (I forget the name right now) and have them make a GIANT birthday cookie. My vote would be Gymboree or Build-A-Bear.
Anyhow...have fun, and happy birthday to your daughter.
