When we first moved to town we used Dr. Dingilian (his office is on Sycamore near the hospital- Simi Family Medical Group). He is a family practice doctor and he delivered my first child. He was wonderful- never made me feel stupid no matter how silly my questions were(being a first time mom I had a lot of questions and worries). He is awesome at explaining things. I have heard wonderful things about all of the doctors in his office. We were sad when our insurance changed and we could no longer go to him. If our insurance ever changes back to one he takes we will go back.
As for Pediatric dentists I have heard good things about the Spaceship dentistry from Moms in my playgroup- Simi Valley and Moorpark Hip Mamas and Papas.
Welcome to Simi!

Hi P.,
Our pediatrician is Dr Patton ###-###-####. She is on Sycamore just north of Alamo across from the hospital. She is great! We have four kids. My husband is a medic and is very particular about the doctors we go to. He loves Dr. Patton because she is quick, thorough, nice, caring, and very knowledgable.
We go to Dr. Mac Welikala for our dentist. ###-###-#### He works on all of us. He is in Morepark just about 10 minutes from Simi. He is the best dentist I have ever had. Very gentle. The kids love him. His technicians are all great with kids too. Each chair has a TV screen attached to it, and the kids can choose a movie to watch while there. My 14 year old daughter had to have a root canal, three shots to numb her. I stood there the whole time because she wanted me there for support, and they were really good with her calming her down, and waiting for her to be ready for the shots. She used to be scared of going to the dentist. Now she doesnt like it but she's not scared anymore.
Our family doctor is in West Hills because we used to live in the Valley and dont want to change. She works at the Motion Picture health clinics so you could only go to her if you guys are in the entertainment industry. If you are, I'll give you her info.
Good luck,
M.

Best family practice in Simi Valley is the practice of John Dingilian, David Yamada and Dan Takeda. I've been a patient for years and also worked with them as an RN at the hospital. If it tells you anything, many doctors and nurses go to them.
For pediatricians I'm not much help as I'm looking for another one myself.
For peds dentistry, we go to Newbury Park and see Dr. Yael Bar-Zion. She is terrific. I've also heard good things re. Dr. Raza.

Hello P.,
I am K. McKee. I remember those days. I now have a 12 year old and a 14 year old. We were in a group of phycicans called Simi Pediatrics, phone number is ###-###-####. Our pedriatrician was/is Jutharat Pattinchinda. She is a good woman,Oriental of some sort. I would recommend her to you because I believe she was the one who was responsible for saving our 12 year old's life, so long ago!! When our 12 year old girl was 11 months old, she was outside in the walker, in the grass, and I was on the patio sweeping it off. I really wasn't paying attention to what was happening in the grass. Then my little one started to cry a lot. I thought she had twisted her ankle or something, because the foot had started changing colors. I called this service out here in Simi Valley called "Ask A Nurse" they said her pediatrician would be on call in 30 minutes, but I thought that would be too long to wait. So I took her to the Simi Valley Adventist Hospital (much smaller then, than it is now!!), because I thought we shouldn't wait that long.
When I got there, you know it was a hot summer day, so we went only in our diaper. Her little eyes were rolling a little, still crying. The staff of the hospital said at first, just sit down, we'll get to you soon. But, Hannah didn't want me to sit down, so I kept walking around. And then the staff said, you better bring her back here now, you can fill out paper work back here. So I did. By now her foot was very bruised up to the ankle. The head physician said that this is usually what happens when people are bitten by California Southern Pacific Rattlesnakes, but usually the people are old enough to say "Snake bit me, or worm, or something," but Hannah couldn't say that. I did not see any, but Monday The gardener found a baby one. Babies are the worst because they can't regulate the poison they inject, they just inject all they have instead of being like an adult which says to itself, "If the rat is this big, I need only this much venom to paralyze it, where the babies say eeeek!!!" and inject all they have into the prey.
Before Dr. Pattan showed up, the staff kept asking me if it was okay to install an I.V. here, or here, or here? I kept saying yes it is okay, because she is in your hands and God's hands, sure do what you can to help her!!! and they tried all these places before Dr. Pattan got there. They tried her arms, and even her little head. but, the only place for the I.V. to go was into the bone marrow of the good knee. That meant she was in such bad shock, no veins were open to get medecine flowing through, or blood, or fluid. Dr. Patton came right through and talked with us about what was going to happen, and what had happened. the hospital chaplain was also great too. That evening, the Simi hospital transported her to Northridge Hospital, because Simi didn't have a N.I.C.U., but Northridge did.
All in all, God was with us and we didn't lose her. They told us at Northridge, they had to give 6 transfusions and restart her 3 - 4 times during the night. She had 19 viles of Anti-venon pumped into her through the good knee and by 5:00 a.m. the next morning they got the swelling to stop up past the groin/hip area. I did not understand what they meant, but when I saw it,it was hard to believe. Her leg looked like a 5 year old's, on an 11 month old. She had to have some sugeries for the leg and on our 1st birthday, we moved from the N.I.C.U. to the Pediatric wing over in Northridge. All in all it was a frightening 14 days there, but Dr.Jutharat Pattanchinda(Simi Valley), Dr. Suzanne Edmunds(N.I.C.U. physician, Northridge), and Dr. King (children's orthopedic sergeon, Northridge) were all great physicians when it came right down to it.
Hope this wasn't too long of a story for you for finding pediatricians in Simi Valley and welcome to Simi Valley!!! Have a great summer!!!
