I have four boys and they all go there. My children have seen Dr. Theriot (we call him Dr. Thorough because he takes time with you to explain what is going on) Dr. Samson is great as well because he is very caring and thorough and he has 13 children of his own.

I really like my son's pediatrician. His name is Dr. Alexander Maneffa. He appears young to me but he's actually been practicing over 20 years. My OB/GYN recommended him and uses him for his baby son as well. In my experience, he has a gentle, caring manner, is low key and willing to entertain all nervous new mom questions without making you feel dumb! My OB/GYN also recommended another doctor (based on what his patients have told him) in the same practice, Dr. Angela Rosetti. The practice is at Harriman Jones on Redondo and Willow. They have a lab, pharmacy and urgent care in the same building which has also been a plus for convenience sake. Feel free to send me a message if you want more info.

Sawsan Selem. 2700 Bellflower Blvd. Totally trustworthy, listens intently, always calls my baby sweet things, never rushed. You may have to wait a little longer than is desireable (30 mins?) but Im telling you SHE IS WORTH IT!!!

Our pediatrician is in Los Alamitos, which is very close to Long Beach, and they are amazing and very experienced. All the doctors in the practice are wonderful, but my two favorite are Dr. Widelitz (male) & Dr. Tosu (female. Good luck no matter who you choose. It is important to feel comfortable.

they have 6 drs. in the office, they are all good from what I have heard, we see dr. welty and we like him, if your child is sick often he may see any of the drs. but we just go in for our checkups and see our dr., the office is clean and there are 2 diff. rooms for the sick and the well kids,the longest I have waited is 10 min. and the nurses are nice and very knowlegable(sp?) I interviewed 1 other office, but I liked this office best and I was referred to them from a referral upon referral, hope you check them out

Love the Kaplan Weidlitz Group In Los Alamitos ( I think someone gave you their contact info). Our pediatrician is Dr. Weidlitz. Very caring. Nice clean, office.

My children's pediatrician is Dr. Sawsan Selem. I noticed someone gave you her info. She is wonderful. My son is now 8 and we started going to her when he was 3. She helped us so much with him over the years. I recommend her to all my friends with kids. She is caring, understanding and easy to talk to. She REALLY cares about your kids. She is a private practice and takes most insurance. She calls you if you have a question and is available at all times if you call her exchange for an emergency. You will be happy here.

Columbia Pediatrics is wonderful!!! I take my son there and all of the doctors and staff are great!They're even open half day on Saturdays if your child is sick. They're right next to Long Beach Memorial Hospital. The number is ###-###-####. Good Luck!!

Try Pediatric Medical Center on Redondo Avenue, near the 405 Fwy. Both my kids see Dr. Welty and really like him. Sometime a bit of a wait, but worth it. This place is where doctors take their own kids. My husband and I have meet each of the physicians and have enjoyed each one. Phone number ###-###-#### plus view their website for background. The doctors do 30 min consultations for a reasonable fee.

I highly recommend Pediatric Medical Center. My oldest of 3 is now 11 and we have been with their practice for 10 years. If you have an after hours question they will respond to you immediatley plus they will see you on Saturdays. Their waiting room is very clean and they are thorough. I have never been turned down for a same day apptointment when one of my boys have been sick (although we may have to wait). She always calls me back directly and is friendly & sympathetic, even on weekends or whenever. She has also called in rx's for us when we've been out of state.
