S., I am so sorry you have to deal with this! My then 7 month old had severe eczema with oozing and bleeding that led to several infections. We found out there are two board certified pediatric dermatologists in the area. One is Fred Ghali in Grapevine (near the airport) and the other is Robin Carder at Children's Hospital. I have been to both and prefer Dr. Carder. She is wonderful and helped me son. She is board certified in both Pediatrics AND Dermatology. She also teaches at UT Southwestern Medical School. The number is ###-###-####. It can take a while to get an appointment. She and Dr. Ghali are considered to be the best by the medical community. I preferred Dr. Carder due to her bedside manner and how the practice is run.

You may also want to see an allergist at the same time....we did to try and find the cause of the eczema..which you can't always do. If you decide to take a two speared approach to this..I highly recommend Dr. Ginchansky at Medical City.

Are you nursing? When my 4 month old broke out in severe eczema it went away completely when I cut dairy out of my diet.
I would NOT recommend Fred Ghali in Grapevine. He was nice but prescribed very strong cortisone and said he didn't believe allergies could cause eczema.

Hi S.!

I also have a child with severe eczema she is two and a half. She gets no sleep at night because she itches so much. She has scratched holes all in her skin, it is terrible! I am also looking for a dermatologist too for her so if you get a good one please let me know. Thank you and good luck!

Sorry to hear about your son's eczema. I don't have any doctor referrals for you, but I did want to pass on that my 8 month old had really bad eczema - pretty much all over - I don't know if I would consider it severe as I don't know what that is, but as an Arbonne Independent consultant, I was using the Arbonne baby products and the combination of the baby wash and baby oil, completely knocked it out within about 3 weeks. I have heard many others say the same thing in regards to these baby products and eczema. No guarantees that it will help your 4 1/2 year old, but worth a try before spending a bunch of money at the doctor. Let me know if you're interested in trying them. I'd be happy to send you some samples, but I just don't think it would be enough for you to get results. If you want to order some, I will order them for you at wholesale cost. The wash retails for 12.50, and the oil for 16.50. The wholesale cost for the two will be 18.85 + tax and shipping. FYI - as a consultant I will not be making money off this wholesale order. My objective is to get people to experience the amazing results that all of Arbonne's products can produce. I guess, I'm doing my best to not sound like I'm selling you. I ultimately want you to find relief for your son. Email me back if I can help. Thanks, N.

Dr. Carder at Children's Dallas. We used her a couple of years ago and were quite pleased.

Sorry I don't have any advice, I'm just also looking for a good pediatric dermatologist.

If you get several responses for one or two doctors would you please pass the name along.

Thank you.
