Looking for a Orthodontist

I need to get both of my kids into a Orthodontist this fall. Was wondering if anybody had any recommendations? We are close to Parker and Arapahoe Crossings. I just don't know where to go and I want somebody good- My experience when I got my braces left me with TMJ which is a pain.. Don't want that to happen to my kids. So if you know of anybody that would be fantastic..

What can I do next?

Carol,

We use Dr. Jeffrey Collins in Parker. ###-###-####) His office is off of Hilltop and Parker Road. He is wonderful. He has a great rapport with his patients, young and old alike. I am a former dental assistant and an orthodontic nightmare case. (braces 3 times and jaw surgery) Wish that I had known about Dr. Collins my last time around. I know more about teeth than the average mom out there and I am very impressed by his work. He actually knows about occlusion and function, not just making a pretty smile. Not everyone coming out of his office has the same smile as I have seen from other ortho offices. He keeps up to date on the latest technology and you can tell that he genuinely loves his job. To top it all off, he doesn't have a high staff turnover. That says a lot to me as a former dental assistant. Dentists are from a different breed and the assisting field doesn't pay well and generally has a very high turnover rate, so when a staff stays with a dentist a long time, that is a very good sign. Best of luck to you. J.

I take my son to 20 Mile Orthodontics and we have been super happy there. The office manager is great. My son has not complained about anything. His teeth already look great just after 4 months!! He is on the 18 month plan. The appointments are quick, everyone is helpful and nice. They have a payment plan that is reasonable for us as we don't have insurance. They do a free consultation as well. Good luck!

I know of Dr. Reed at Liverpool and Smokey Hill. He has worked on many of my friends. They all love him. He is a "gentle giant" and a does a great job.

I recommend Scott Ohmart. I am personally doing Invisalign with him and he is great. He has a great personality and really listens. He sees everyone from children to adults. He currently has two offices one on University and Dry Creek and one out W., but I believe he is planning another office in Southlands.

There is a great guy in Lone Tree, Theodore Moore. It's not super close to you, but he's worth the drive. He's really honest and ethical and would never do any treatment that wasn't necessary. We have been super happy. His number is ###-###-####. Good luck!

It's actually funny that there's another H. M. suggesting the same doctor - we are different Heathers!! I was also going to say Dr. Moore! We've had several friends go to him and I've heard nothing but great things and should we need an orthodontist, he's where we'll go for sure!!!

Dr. Kirk Nielson is awesome!!! My son had a very complicated problem and Dr. Nielson was the answer. He is located on Smoky Hill and Buckley. His phone # is: ###-###-####. Best of luck to you.
