Looking for a One Day Program for My 2 Year Old

Hello ladies,
I'm looking for recommendations for a 1 day a week program that I could take my 2 year old daughter to, starting in the fall. We need something that is not daycare, but preschool.
Do you have have any recommendations for me? Thanks!

What can I do next?

St. Anthony's MDO has a great program, and they are very kid-friendly. My 2 year old has developed a lot of vocabulary and potty training skills by going to the program 3 days a week. We just love watching her grow as she learns more and more each day.

My children were both in MBC Explorers at Memorial Baptist. When I taught there...I PULLED THEM OUT! All of the classes/teachers were not enthusiastic or interesting. There was two teachers in different classes that did terrible things to the kids. I highly recommend staying AWAY from that school until the 4 yr old class! Those teachers are fabulous. My son is now in the three yr old class at Day School for Little People. It's at Cedar Bayou Methodist. My son and I both LOVE the class, director and teachers (and subs). I can't say enough good things about that school. Good Luck.

Crestview Baptist's Mother's morning out program is great. It is a two day a week program, but we only do one day a week. It is located off of 2222 and Woodward and goes from 9:30-2.

Montessori schools offer superb preschool programs. Most schools offer a variety of programs including 2, 3 or 5 days a week as well as half days. My son absolutely loves his class and learns so much in only 3 hours. Here is one school that I found in Round Rock.

The DP United Methodist Church on 13th has a weekday school and offers Mother's Day Out. My twin boys (1 in March) will be starting in the fall, going just one day a week. I know they have a class for 2 year olds and you can pick either Mon/Fri, Tue/Thurs, or just Wed. The phone number is ###-###-####. Kay Coburn is the director. Hope this helps!

Many of the local mother's day out programs at the area churches are good. They generally have a daily activity as well as play time.

Hi

In the south Austin area? If so, Manchaca United Methodist Child Development Center does have at two or three day program. Tuesday, Thursday is the 2 day program. It is an excellent program. Their fall registration opens Feb 18th. As with any program, I would recommend you check it out and even ask for recommendations from other parents. Two of my children have been through this program and I love it.

How about a Mother's day out at a local church? I have not personally tried one, but I have a friend that has and loved it! She also met a lot of new friends there.

Where are you at? If you are in NW Austin, I highly recommend Bethany School on Anderson Mill. They run a preschool at Bethany Church. The 2-year old program is anywhere from 1 to 5 days a week, whatever you want. My son is in that class 2 days this year. The teachers are absolutely wonderful.

Southeast Church of Christ has a good mother's day out program that you could sign her up for 1 or 2 days a week. It is in Friendswood on Bay Area Blvd in Heritage Park area.
