Washington Mutual (WAMU) is awesome. I did compass for a while, but they have a very sneaky policy that bit us at Christmas time. They charged us an overdraft fee for a transaction that posted AFTER the bank had money in the account (so in other words they looked at the day the transaction was MADE not the day it POSTED). I hope that makes sense. We got paid on the 15th, and the transaction had been made on the 14th, but I knew it wouldn't process til the next day (which it didn't), but they still charged it. Very weird compared to all the other banks I've banked at. Plus when I called, crying, the lady said, "Well, if you want to pay $39 for a latte, that's up to you." Wamu also does the free atms at other locations but I think you have to turn in receipts to do that. I've never tried, but know it's available. And I like their blanket overdraft policy. You get 1 per year, no matter what. Anyway, I've been very happy with them.

We like Compass Bank. You can use any ATM and you save your receipts and take them in or send them in and they will refund you the extra money you paid to use someone's else's ATM.
They have friendly tellers and we've been with them for several years now. We are happy with them.
We also have accounts at the Tarrant County Credit Union and Bank of America. We really like Bank of America too. You might check into them.

I love Chase bank, and have been using them for 20 years. My mom is switching to my bank after having issues with her bank and their poor customer service. I have a banker that will walk you through the set up and he's been there forever. His name is Jeff Sears and his number is ###-###-#### and email ____@____.com's in Arlington.

We like Chase bank because of the account alerts you can get on your cell phone and points earned on your check cards. At the end of the year, you can get gift cards from those points and if you want, give them away as Christmas presents from stores like Home Depot, Target, Walmart, etc.
