Looking for a Moving Company

AB Moving - they were the best price and were speedy and nice. You need to wrap anything you don't want to get banged up, such as furniture, especially if you have tight turns on staircases. They do shrink wrap, but it's for their benefit so drawers don't come out of chest of drawers, bulky items stay togethter as they carry them, etc. but for the money you save with AB Moving it's worth it to protect your own furniture.

We recently used Carrie Cantrell, Diamond Movers, Inc., ###-###-####. I found their prices in line with every one else with the exception, no one time show up fee, they start billing when they start working and they bill by the minute after the 2 hour minimum, which saved us a ton. They showed up on time and worked hard, not lolly gaggers. Good luck on your move.

AB Moving out of Allen did local moving for both my mom and for us. I picked them because they were highly rated on Angie's List and they did a great job. Their price was much lower than the other companies I called and they didn't charge extra for shrink-wrapping anything (watch for that with other companies). If you can, try not to move at the end of the month or on a weekend. Their rates are lower on weekdays and their peak time is the end of the month. I don't have their number handy, but just Google AB moving Dallas.

We used Mayflower when we moved to our current home which is about 2 miles from the home we first built.

They furnished me with supplies, I did a lot of packing and they did all the heavy bulky stuff.

No complaints at all.
