Looking for a Local Mom's Group or Playgroup for My 10 Month Old
I am looking for a group that I can involve my 10 month in. She loves to be around other kids and I would like to meet other mothers in my area. If anyone knows of a local lexington group please let me know.

I know the Baby Moon on Richmond Rd. has a playgroup for babies on Friday's at 2pm. I've never gone as my little one is too small yet but I met some ladies at the LLL meeting I went to who go and they seemed to enjoy it. Here is the Baby Moon website: http://www.baby-moon.org/

I have recently started a playgroup in the Lexington Area. It has kids of all ages (4 weeks to 8 years!) It's fairly new, we first met in August with 4 moms and their toddlers and now the group has over 30 parents as members!
Check us out at www.playgroup.meetup.com/324
We have activities scheduled for weekdays and weekends to fit both stay at home moms and moms that work outside of the home. We are also starting Mom's Night Out activities as well to give us moms all a chance to get to know one another better without our kids.
Feel free to contact me with any questions.

I've found a couple of groups here in Lexington at www.meetup.com. You might check there. I love the storytimes at the public libraries, too.

here's a website for mom's groups in lexington:

plus the local gymboree classroom:

I've been in Georgetown town for 13 months now and have yet to actually find anything here...but lexington seems rife with oppotunity. Also, there are MANY churches that offer mom's groups and mom's day out programs.
Google search: http://www.google.com/search?&q=mom's%20group%20in%20...
Apparently there's also a recently started SAHM mom's group in lexington:

Let me know if you find anything satisfying! :)

Baby Moon on Richmond Road has baby playgroups. Also, each branch of the Fayette County Libraries have storytime/playgroups once a week. These are great places to meet moms and babies.

I was in the sme situation, and I joined a gym, and I worked 1 day a week, for 3 hours, and I got my membership free. It provided my kids with play-time, and got me some adult interation, and after I got used to the place, I started working out for no charge!! I think it is a great deal for stay at home moms. Now, I actually work at a gym 3 days a week, and get paid!! I take my kids with me, 3 hours a shift, and I still get a free membership, and I earn a little extra spending money...it is great. If you want more info on the where's of these gyms, just let me know!! It really works great for my kids and I.

One of the things that I found that my daughter liked was to go to the library and go to the reading group. There will kids there her age they sing songs and read a book. After that they give the kids a chance to interact with each other
