I am looking to purchase a children's kitchen playset for my daughters (ages 4 and 6). I have done a lot of shopping online and need to make a decision. I want to know if any of you have any suggestions or recommendations on a good brand or style. I would appreciate ANY kind of input!!! You all have been so helpful in the past! Thank you!!

if you're okay with the plastic kind I would recommend the Step 2 brand, their products are extremely durable.

My daughters LOVE the Step 2 Grand Walk-In Kitchen. We bought it at Sam's just before Christmas. I'm not sure if they still have it, but Toys R Us might. It comes with a table and 2 chairs as well. It also has all the food, pots and pans, etc.

Best of luck!

We bought this one http://www.step2.com/product.cfm?product_id=1397 for my two year old for Christmas. It's worked great for us so far! My 5 year old nephew, and 4 year old boy cousin love to play with it too. It's made very well and is really easy to assemble. It was a bit pricey, but I found it on sale at WalMart around Christmas time. I'm pretty sure it will hold up for many years. My daughter plays with it all the time. She's only two, so she can be a little rough with things, but this kitchen doesn't show any wear and tear. It doesn't take up a ton of space either. Of course, you can always go with this one.. http://www.step2.com/product.cfm?product_id=1402&rela... It would be any kids dream kitchen! :)

We love play kitchens at our house as we have three girls and one more on the way. The first question I would ask yourself, hwo long do you want to have your kitchen, how much space do you have andhow much are you willing to spend. When our girls were younger we bought a $100 plastic Little Tikes one and it was great for a while. THen as they got older I got a great deal at the Pottery Barn OUtlet on a wooden pink/white three piece set. This has held up great, very durable and adorable. I plan to keep it for all of our girls and hopefully the grandkids one day. They make wooden kitchens now tat are very reasonable. KidKraft makes an all in one kitchen that is cute and a great space saver, it is wooden and a decent price. You can find it online or I think Toys R us carries it. I would check that one out. We love ours, b/c they are three units and when alot of kids are playing in the playroom it allows them to have their own space. I recently purchased the target wooden small kitchen for my 3 years olds bedroom, it is okay, took forever to assemble, has no refrigerator, but is great for her bedroom, as far as size and keeps her occupied. Good Luck, it is an exciting purchase!

We got ours @ Costco and it is very similar to what they sell @ PB Kids. Sometimes they have it, sometimes they don't. Keep looking and maybe ask someone if they're planning to get more in.
