Looking for a Honest , Affordable Mechanic

I used an auto shop on Priest, just as you head in towards Guadalupe from Elliot (or Grove Parkway) in Tempe and these folks had EVERY opportunity to take me to the cleaners given my situation and fixed the problem for under 20 bucks!! Ater that, I used them exclusively, and they were always reasonably priced and very honest. It was a repair shop that dealt with Toyotas and Hondas when I used it but looks like maybe they have branched out and do more now (when I used them, they were the Honda Doctors I think... now they are the Auto Doctor). They might be a good place to get a quote. I have often said that if I get another car it will be a honda or a toyota so I can go back there. Hopefully they are the same folks. Car repairs suck. My husband and I have always had honest work for affordable prices at Val's Service Center, 301 N. Arizona Ave., Chandler, AZ 85225 ###-###-####. They've been in business in Chandler for over 30 yrs. Good luck!

we just found a great mechanic - Gearhead Garage in Gilbert (Gilbert Rd. and Guadalupe). We found him recommended on the "Car Talk" website. He was very reasonable, fast, and didn't do unecessary work. I don't have a phone number handy, but they do have a website - I'm sure you can find them.

Dave at College Automotive is a great guy. Honest and certified to do warranty work as well. He is on Broadway and the 101 ###-###-####. Tell him S. sent you.

I have 2 options for you.

1. Sunland Auto in Mesa. It's on Broadway just off Country Club. My DH's family has been going there for 20 years. Small shop, busy, but fair. Tell them you know Doug K. (pronounced cool) lol The number is ###-###-#### (480 I'm sure)

2. We also stumbled across a mobile mechanic through a very dear friend about a year ago. In this case you have to "diagnose" what is wrong ( and you can talk to him about it) get the part or parts and he comes to your house to fix it. Not sure what is going on with your vehicle and not sure he could do it, but he is honest, dependable and a Christian! :) His name is Rick Ryan cell# ###-###-#### pgr ###-###-####. Again tell him Doug and L. K. recommended him.
