Looking for a High School That Tends to Teenege Moms

Does anyone have any reccomendations on a high school in the Northwest area of Denver or uncorpperated AdamsCounty for a teenege mom in the fall of '08? Looking for a school where a teenage mom can either take her baby with on site daycare or a school that specializes with teenage moms?

What can I do next?

I live right behind Horizon highschool, my son attends there, they have infant through pre-school, I've subbed in there a couple of times, and my daughter went to Pre-K there too, it's not only for teen moms, it's also for district employees children and the public to put their kids in. They have wonderful caring teachers and if it's a teen mother, they can go in to visit anytime. I would definately call now and try to get them in because it fills up quickly, especially when you have the district employees kids going too. The name is Bright Horizons.

A. C,
Contact Adams City High School at ###-###-####. They have an on-site nursery and child care. A new state-of-the arts high school and community college are being built and will open in 2009. I am the Historian/Archivist for the Union No. 1/Adams City High School Alumni Association and a graduate of 1962. You may reach me through www.adamscityhighschool.com (click on "email me") or ____@____.com (I am a real estate broker with 31 years experience). Best wishes to you!

There is a alternative high school-McLain High School on the Red Rocks Community College campus. It is a fabulous school. I speak from experience. Half of the school is the "alternative" school, but then half is the high school for pregnant or teen moms. In addition to normal high school classes they have classes on child care, newborn care, prenatal needs and birthing classes and all sorts of specialized classes like that. They have on site daycare that is licensed and staffed by students from the community college specializing in early childhood education. The teachers really build-up their girls and let them know or remind them that they are wonderful young women, they did not ruin their lives and that even though their life has now become different and harder that they can still become amazing women and moms. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask.

I do not know of one in Adams County but do know of one in Denver. It is called Florence Critton. I am sure if you call them they might know of some schools if any in your area. The number for Florence Crittenton is ###-###-####. Hope this helps.

I have heard that Horizon High in Thornton has a teen mom program.
