Hi ladies~ I have a little boy who just turned 2 and a baby girl that is 7 months old. I still have a lot of weight to loose and am frustrated that I only have a few things to wear and little time to exercise! My daughter does not like the jogging stroller and in fact cries most of the time...so that's not working for me. Does anyone know of a gym or fitness class with affordable childcare? I think if I could find a place that could take care of my kiddos while I exercise then I can loose this weight! THanks.

What can I do next?

LA Fitness in GG on Valley View and Chapman is a great gym. They have a kids klub for babysitting while you work out.
My son is now 20 months and has been going since he was 4 months old and loves it! We have been really happy with it and even found a babysitter there!

I go to both La Fitness and 24 hour fitness and they offer their Kidz Club for $3.00 per child for up to 2 hours. La Fitness they will take from 3 months and up and they have a $10 monthly fee per child and you can go as many times as you like. I take both my kids (ages 6 months and 4 1/2 years) to both and they love it.

Personally, I like the workout DVD's that I can do from home. I have "The Firm" which has been really great. The workouts are about 45 minutes each and it even gives you diet advice and workout schedule. That way, I don't spend another 15 minutes trucking the kids with me anywhere and embarassing myself in front of a bunch of other people. Not to mention how inexpensive it is.

My 3 & 5 year olds jump in with me sometimes too and try the workouts.

24 Hour Fitness has childcare for $3 each child for 2 hours. You can go online to find out which one is closest to you and to see their class schedule. I have a workout buddy with a boy the same age as mine, so they get to have a playdate too. And, we're more apt to go since we're relying on each other. You may want to check in to a regular gym. Usually all of them have babysitting facilities with minimal costs, (since your already paying for membership) and some might be free. My gym in Long Beach only charges $4 an hour. Good luck!

Hi G.!

First of all, congrats on your decision to stay at home with the children you worked so hard to have!

Second of all, Ballys Total Fitness has REALLY affordable childcare. It's something like $20 for 10 2-hour sessions ($1/hour!). There's a really nice location right by Angel's Stadium (Katella and State College). I have a membership, but NEED A WORK-OUT BUDDY! Interested?

my husband and i belong to 24 hour and i'm pretty sure that you can take your kids to their kids place for 2 hours for $3 per kid. i haven't taken my kids there yet since i get up before 5 to go to the gym while my husband is still home and everyone is sleeping. but i've heard good things about it.

I use LA Fitness. It is $10 per child per month to add my kids on to the Kid's Club. They can go during Kid's Club hours for up to 2 hours per visit. Good luck!

Hi G.,
LA Fitness on Valley View and Chapman its pretty good. They have a Kids Club, its about $10 a month per child, I think its up to two hours a day, so you can get a great work out while your kids are having fun. They usually have two to three babysitters.
Hope it helps

Check out Bally's or 24 Hour Fitness. With my membership, Bally's gives me 10 visits (1 child) for $21. I don't know what the charge would be for 2 children. I have been a member since 1990...I know membership costs have risen since then.
