L., I'm in the same position you are. Due to different reasons Ive been able to be at home fir several months with my son. But, i'm looking for an opportunity like you. I've tried MaryKay and I just don't think sales is right for me. I hope I can find a legitimate at home position. So I'm looking forward to Reading some of the responses myself.

Have you heard of MomCheck.com? MomCheck is dedicated to helping Moms in their search for childcare. There is no money upfront or pyramid / sales scheme. It is a a real company and I am one of the owners.
Take a look and if you are interested, you can apply to be a MomCheck Agent at:
http://www.momcheck.com/WhoWeAre/WorkWithUs/tabid/72/Defa...
I started staying at home after my the birth of my youngest child. I know it is a tough decision. Either way, good luck with your search.

Hilton Reservations has some work-at-home positions for making hotel reservations. There is a 2 week training session that you get paid for but is at their office. After that, you work from your home computer and telephone. You can look it up on the internet. Southwest Airlines also has a work-at home reservations program too. Good luck.

I am an independent consultant with Once Upon A Family. AND I LOVE IT! check out my website at www.onceuponafamily.com/missyjo
The great thing about this company is that you can make GREAT money by being a full time consultant or fun money (car payment, six flags money, chuck e cheese money) by being a casual consultant.
The company is fairly new (I think starting in 2005) so the market isn't saturated with consultants. I think only about 900 nationwide. The products promote family life, values, and is just all around great company. the women that I've met have been so uplifting, encouraging and wonderful.
And the best part is that my children and family and I are closer now that what we ever were and that is great. That's the whole point of being a stay at home mom. To teach your child values and traditions and to be a great mom. This way you can be a great mom, and brag about it while teaching other families how to do the same and that's perfect!
What better company to work for that this one?

You can try www.workplacelikehome.com or www.ratracerebellion.com for a huge list of companies that hire people to work from home. I would suggest trying to start off working for westathomeagent.com to get your feet wet and see how you enjoy working from home.
