We are looking for a good pediatric dentist in Newton / Belmont area (MA). Lexington would work as well. Our daughter is 3 years old and it will be her first visit.

What can I do next?

Hi. WE use Waban Dental Group on Beacon STreet in Waban. Dr. Zaragosa is the Pediatric dentist and she is great. All the hygenists are very nice also. We have been going there for 7 years..I have a 10 yr old and a 6 1/2 year old son. Good luck!

If you can travel to Brookline, Dr. Christopher Hughes is an excellent pediatric dentist. He practices on Tuesdays only at 1247 Beacon St, ###-###-####. He is successful with the most nervous, shy sensitive of kids and knows how to handle kids with his relaxed, low-key manner. Staff is excellent, always cheerful and insurance never seems to be an issue. Good luck!

We go to Chestnut Dental in Needham; not sure if that is too far for you, but they are amazing. Dr. Needleman and his staff are fabulous. Evidence? My 4 year old got a filling (I know, bad mommy), and she STILL is not afraid to go back!

We have a wonderful pediatric dentist, whom other practitioners have told me may be the best in the state. He is located in Waltham, however. His name is Dr. John Caravolas ( he works with his cousin, who also has the same last name. So if you call, be sure to tell them you want "Dr. John".). Phone number: ###-###-####. My kids, now 9.5, have been going to him and his associate, Dr. Cara, for about 6 years. They have no fears, put up no fuss, and come out smiling every time.
Be sure to check out whomever you choose. Good luck!

I highly recommend Cambridge Pediatric Dental Associates: http://www.cambridgepediatricdental.com/. We have seen Dr. Filstrup twice with our 3-year-old, and she was fantastic.

Hi Anese
There's John Caravolas at 20 Hope Ave in Waltham(pediatric dentist). And my son has also seen William Byrne (family dentistry) on Main Street in WAtertown, by the square...My hubbie and I still go to him. And the only reason my little guy (age 7) switched was that he needed a tooth extracted and space maintainer that Dr Byrne couldn't do. Both are great with kids. Good luck!
