Looking for a Good OBGYN for a VBAC in Austin

I am new to the Austin area and am a mother of two (first child born vaginally, second emergency c-section due to prolapsed cord). I want to have another baby but need to find a good OB willing to do a VBAC. Any suggestions?

My friend did the same thing, her OB was Dr. Mikael Love.

Dr. Mirto at St. David's http://marymirtodo.com/
She has a small practice and takes a holistic stance. She is a great doctor and very caring and her nurse, Karen, is wonderful too. You would need to call her to check on the VBAC.

i have to say, i think i have the best OBGYN EVER. He was recommended to me by a very close pediatrician/god.father of my child/friend of ours. Dr. Clive Polon, he has awesome bedside manner and he's a work.a.holic, he loves what he does. Try him...

I have had the same OB/GYN for 10 years now, and I highly recommend Dr. Mikeal Love. His office is at St. David's Hospital. I have not had a VBAC, but he has delivered all three of my babies, the third of which was emergency c-section due to breech presentation. Also, I delivered all 3 at that hospital and they always took wonderful good care of me. Call me if you want to know more. Welcome to Austin!

I go to Womans Partners in Health and Dr. Stephanie Reich has delivered all 4 of my children with a c-section to a vbac. All the doctors and nurses there are great!

Dr Michelle Gooch is awesome - her number is ###-###-#### she is located at Medical Park Tower - right next to Seton Medical Center.

Check out Dr. Laura Meritt at Women's Renaissance Group. I have one 3.5 year old son...we were going for natural child birth with doula in the hospital and had cord issues as well. We ended up with emergency C-section but she was great and has encouraged VBAC if we have another baby.

Dr. Vanessa Yium at Women Partners in Health delivered my 3rd child - my 1st was a c-section & my 2nd was a vbac in another state -- love dr. yium! she's way cool and easy going. from what i've read about vbac's, it's the hospitals that really dictate whether a vbac can happen or not and so, doctors are at their mercy.

i have also heard wonderful things about dr. karen kish and dr. shannon abikhaled.
