Looking for a Good OBGYN

I recently moved to the area and am looking for a good OBGYN. I live in Marlborough, but am willing to travel for a good doctor. I'm not currently pregnant, but I'm looking for a doctor that does well with high-risk pregnancies since both my pregnancies had complications.

What can I do next?

Women's Health of Ma, in Marlborough on Maple St. is excellent. I see Dr. Kerri Osterhaus- Howle- ( she is great!) there are 6 other doctors in the practice, I have met most of them, during my last pregnancy,(all were great; since I did have some complications towards the end. They are affiliated with UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester- which has an excellent Maternity Center with a level 3 NICU and handles High-risk pregnancies.

I went to Abraham Fischer at Women's Health of Central Massachusetts. It is a good-sized group and I had a pretty good experience. They have offices in Worcester and Marlborough which made it very convenient as I work in one and live in the other. They deliver at UMass, which hosts the NICU in this area so that was a draw too-- I initially went to a St. V's obgyn but if something were to go wrong requiring a NICU we would have to transfer hospitals and I didn't want the additional stress. They have both male and female doctors in the group if that matters to you.

I have an amazing OB/GYN, Dr. Melissa Mead in Milford, right off 495. Her staff is wonderful, easy going, and very informative. You can get all of your ultrasound there, NST, and they are very accomadating. I delivered at Milford hospital and highly recommend the staff there.
I have met so many women who go there and many of my own friends go there also. Good luck and they are worth the call. Ask to see Lisa, one of the many nurses!

My OBGYN is wonderful and I would strongly recommend him. I have gone through 2 great pregnancies with him. His name is Edmon Jacobson on 85 Lincoln Street in Framingham. The office # is ###-###-####. I was lucky enough to not have complications with either, but I am pretty sure he can handle just about anything!
Best of luck!

Hi,

The doctors at Weston OBGYN are fantastic. They have a website you should check it out. I use Dr. Daly and he is wonderful.

I ADORE dr. todd shapiro. He's in Brookline, which I know is far, but is SO worth it, in my opinion. I went all the way from Holliston. He's good with high risk (although I wasn't a high risk pregnancy myself) and he's just very down to earth. He's not overly restrictive at all, but is very knowledgeable about what's safe and what's not, he listens to concerns very well, and is just a great doctor. He also delivers at Beth Israel, which is a good place to be if you are high risk. If it's worth the trip to you, I can't say enough good things.

Depending on where you are in Marlboro, I use Dr. Gottlieb with Southboro Medical Group in Framingham on Route 9. I have not had high-risk pregnancies, but I know people who did and he was great with them. I had some issues with my first pregnancy and my 3rd as far as the baby's kidneys and heart and he made sure I was monitored with level 2 ultrasounds to monitor the situation.
