Hello,
I am looking for a good experienced OB GYN in the Warwick-Florida, I Had a
very bad experience with previous doctors who delivered my son due to over scheduling in their office,my baby was overdue and as a consequence he had meconium, I dilated quick but they were not available, I had to push for many hours unnecesarily because they were busy doing
elective surgeries, they did not have the time to do a simple episiotomy, I needed it because I have a small pelvis and my baby was big, and got all torn.
I wont say the names, I just would like a Doctor who is compassionate, caring, and that listen to my needs as a patient. I am planing to have another baby this year, God willing.
Anybody who knows a good Obstetrician-Gynecologist in the Warwick-Florida I would really appreciated it.
Thanks
A.

I can really sympathize, becausue I also had a bad birth experience with a practice that has a couple offices in that area. (Thankfully, my child was OK, even if I wasn't!) I suspect that it may be the same group you went to. Unfortunately for the good doctors in that practice, there is one doctor in particular who is a problem. I've heard similar, or worse horror stories about him from other women. For some reason, the other docs in that group keep working with him, though, even though it seems to me that he is a potentially huge liability.

I personally went to Westchester to find an OB to deliver my second child and had a really great experience, but I don't know how willing you are to travel. As far as Orange County goes, someone told me that there is a good OB GYN on Hatfield Lane in Goshen...I think one of them is Dr. D'Aro? I've never been there myself, though. I also know some women who really like Dr. Passano in Monroe. She delivers at Good Samaritan. Hope this helps! Good luck to you.

I use Community Ob Gyn which just switched over to Crystral Run Health Care. They have offices in Goshen and right at St. Anthony's Hospital in Warwick. There are 4 dr.s in the practice and I use Dr. Shanahan. I really think he's great. I switched to him while pregnant with my second child. My previous dr. sent me to early for the downs test so it came back positive and I spent the rest of the pregnancy worrying but everything turned out fine. Dr. Shanahan delivered my very healthy daughter via c-section (breech birth) in July 05, my healthy son in Nov. 06 and will deliver my fourth in Aug. 09. Give his office a call and set up a meeting with him to meet him first. I remember that I did that too. For now I believe it will still be listed as Community Ob/Gyn in the phonebook. Good luck

I really like Community obgyn. Especially Dr Landau. They are all great and they use St. Anthony's. Dr Brokunier delivered my daughter by c-section and did a really great job. I have been with them for 10 years now and wouldn't change for the world! I personally like the Goshen office better No waiting. The warwick office is usually packed and a long wait. I always go to Goshen. They recently merged with Cyrstal Run Healthcare. I would highly recommend them. Good Luck!

I actually switched from Community OB-Gyn (if you want specifics feel free to email me) to Dr. Laurie Solomon in Suffern, NY. I was a bit concerned that she was too far from me in Warwick - but she was fantastic! It is only her so I felt it was more personal than other larger practices. She does have a back-up doctor who also has his own practice - but I never had to see him. I rarely had to wait very long for her, which was surprising to me since it's only her. I was able to have a successful vbac, thanks to her. I delivered at Good Samaritan Hospital - her office is right behind it.
If you don't mind traveling a little farther - she's worth it.
Best of luck to you!

Hi, A. I used Ramapo OB/Gyn in Monroe. I also know about 10 people who have used them and I have never heard a bad word. There are 6 doctors and I think they all did a great job. They have offices in Monroe and Pomona and deliver in Good Sam. Good Luck
