Looking for a Good Lightweight Stroller to Travel With

I am looking for feedback about strollers. We are going to Aruba in April and my husband is insisting we buy a smaller stroller for the trip. Our daughter is 2 and a half and I've been using the big Graco stroller that came with the travel system we got when she was an infant. I like it because she can lay down in it or sit up, it's nice and big and comfy for her and when we go shopping I can fit my bags in the basket underneath. I would appreciate hearing your opinions on which strollers to buy and which ones to stay away from.

What can I do next?

The Quinny Zapp is the best lightweight umbrella stroller on the markey IMO. And it comes with a bag you can zip it into to protect it while travelling.

Try the Chicco brand stroller. I think its between $55-75 at BabiesRUs. I had the Gracco stroller too but found it to be too bulky. The Chicco is very good, travelled with us from Hillsborough NJ to SFO, Orlando, FL carrying my then 2 year old. Hope this helps!

I don't know what stroller would be good for traveling. I would probably just take my regular one. However, if you end up picking a stroller that doesn't have a good sized basket underneath, you can buy hooks. I forget where I bought them, maybe onestepahead.com, but I have several hooks that hang on the stroller handle for holding shopping bags. You can even buy cup holders that velcro onto the handle for your drink. Good luck, and enjoy your vacation.

Hi,

My daughter currently has a stroller made by Peg Perego. It is so lightweight and they have nice colors. Ive used this stroller since birth and its good for children up to like 3 yrs old. Ive included a website for you to check them out. They may look heavier, but trust me, it will suprise you how lightwight they are! They are also really smooth and simple to function as well.

I'm petite and so I needed to buy a lightweight stroller from the start. I purchased the Graco MetroLight stroller (Babies R Us). It's great and even I'm able to carry it and carry it up and down stairs. It has a nice sized basket at the bottom, cup holder and it reclines. It folds up easily and it's really comfortable for the baby. If your going away and u plan on walking around alot, u should really consider the child's comfort as well as your own.

one step ahead (onestepahead.com) has a great travel stroller. it's like $40 and it's really lightweight. we brought it to hawaii two summers ago for our son (he was like 16 months at the time) and it worked out great. i lent it to a friend for her trip to puerto rico a few months ago (her daughter is two) and she loved it too. it has a shoulder strap too for easy carrying, say onto the airplane or whatever. good luck!

I have always used a Maclaren Triumph for traveling. It reclines, has a plastic cover for rain and closes up really small and weighs about 10lbs. My youngest is 2 so the name may have changed. But its usually the one that is one up from the Maclaren Volo (which doesn't recline). Mine lasted through two kids. The only thing I replaced were the wheels, but I used to live in Brooklyn and walked everywhere.Have a nice trip!!!

I did some research on lightweight strollers. I have a Graco one myself and know how bulky it could be. If your looking to get a good stroller with great feature and a little less expensive, try the "Combi" stroller. They have a website which allows you to look at different strollers. Good luck and God bless you!

I had one I bought from Toys'R'Us for $20--it was lightweight and perfect for traveling. We took my son when he was a toddler to Mexico and it was perfect. Not too heavy like the Graco stroller I had as well.
