I'm looking for an all-terrain jogging stroller that I can take for walks, jogging, to the beach, etc... Has anyone purchased one that they love? I bought one of the Jeep models yesterday & tried it out today but it doesn't have a front wheel that swivels & is extremely difficult to turn. Thanks for your help!

What can I do next?

I have an Instep that I love (it's a double). I have a friend with a Schwin that is great also. Like everyone else has said the swivel wheel is a must. My single jogger does not have a swivel wheel and it's a pain. You might want check out some of the consignment sales going on now or craigslist. I got mine used and I've had it for 1.5 years and I use it at least 5 times a week. These strollers are made to handle lots of use and they will last forever and so many people buy them and don't end up exercising with children like they had intended. Just an idea if you want to save some cash.

Baby Trend - at Babies R Us - the front wheel can lock in place or swivel - also locks the infant car seat on top. LOVE IT!!!

I have a Bob Ironman. It also has a fixed front wheel but if you are a serious runner that is what you need to run so it doesn't wobble all over the place. It is designed for street running though. The Revolution by the same manufacturer has a swivel wheel but the SUS model is made for all terrain. I am not sure about that wheel though. I would check out the website. The nearest place that sells these is Punch and Judy in Savannah. Only talk with the manager/owner if you go.She is an attractive middle aged brunette lady. Thr rest of them are clueless!

I have a Graco jogging stroller with the front swivel wheel (an absolute must for anybody really wanting to jog). I don't think they make the model I have anymore. But you don't have to buy the expensive brands to get a good jogging stroller. I would check Graco's website to see what they have available, and check Ebay, Craigslist, and your local classifieds. I got mine, barely used, for $40 after answering a local ad.

BOB Revolutuion!!! By far the best. It is great because the front wheel locks for when your jogging and swivels for when your around town.
You want the front wheel locked for jogging or you'll be all over the place.
This is my 3rd baby and I wish I'd have had the BOB for my other 2. It also hold up to 70lbs.
Well worth the money.

I went ahead and sucked it up and bought a BOB stroller. I got it on mystrollers.com, so it was cheaper and I didn't pay for shipping. I didn't get the swivel wheel--which I now wish I would have--but the BOB handles extremely well and it's made for jogging and off-terrain! It's light so even I can pack it up in our SUV and take my daughter to the beach. It was a lot of money to put down--but it was worth it and I know I'll use this stroller for all of my children. Plus it goes up to 70 lbs so she can be in for a while! Good luck!

as Andrea said, if you are truly going to run with it, the front wheel cannot swivel

The Bob Revolution Stroller is the best stroller - hands down. You can change the front wheel to be either a jogging stroller or as a everyday stroller. I love it - it has shocks on each side, so I can stroll down a rough and or rocky road with no problems (I have tried out various strollers from my friends and they do not come close to the ease of the Bob). Plus, it will hold up to 80 pounds. When I have another baby, I will get the double Bob stroller. This was the best baby item we got. Good luck with your search.

Hi M.,

My husband and I received an InStep Safari Jogging Stroller last year as a gift and we love it! It has a swivel front wheel (that you can lock when you jog) and is very easy to maneuver. I use it for walks, jogging, going to the mall, etc. It has the all-terrain wheels so it would be perfect for the beach or other bumpy areas. It's lightweight and folds with one motion. Also, I'm a lot shorter than my husband and the jogger has an easily adjustable handlebar that fits both of us perfectly. It's a wonderful jogging stroller and I highly recommend it.

Hope that helps!

We've got the Jeep stroller from Sears. Kmart sells one as well but it is cheaper and the wheels are like a hard foam rather than inflated. They didn't appear to look like they would have lasted long. But we love our stroller! The front wheel swivels, it folds down and opens up one handed and easily, my son seems compfy in it for long periods of time (we got it to take to Disney March last year, through all 4 parks and Sea World and he was under 2yrs old!), and he loves the musical steering wheel on the front. We go camping a lot so it's been taken it to the beach several times (you'll have to pull it backwards though), walking trails and just around the neighborhood too. It's not very mall friendly as it is big in size but we just keep a light weight stroller in the car for those occosians! I can't find a pic of ours, it seems Kolcraft has a newer model out now. But if I find one, I'll send it too you.

Found a link to ours http://www.allthingsjeep.com/kol-jl002-xsp.html

Good luck!

I LOVE my BOB Revolution. I have the double one, but friends have the single, and they love it. If your baby can't sit up yet, you can get an adapter bar so you can click your carseat in it like you would a carseat base.

If you order a BOB through REI online, you can have it shipped to the store for pickup for free. If you become a member of REI (no charge) you'll receive 10% of everything you spend there back in a dividend check! They had a great sale on the BOBs when I got mine. You may want to ask when they plan to put them on sale again if you're interested.

I should also tell you that I have a single stroller I'm selling if you're interested. It's a Moto Becain from France and I purchased it off of Ebay from two moms who sell them and who run marathons and do triathlons. It was a GREAT stroller -been on countless walks on all types of terrain and to the beach lots of times. It's still in great shape although it's been used a lot. Email me if you're interested. It's red.
