Looking for a Good Family Practice or Small Pediatric Office Around Altamonte

I have 2 boys ages 2 and 4 and I am fed up with their current pediatric office. While I do like their actual doctor and one of the nurse practitioners it is almost impossible to speak to a human when calling to schedule an appointment etc. It is just a large VERY busy office and I would like to find something more low key. I would like to find a doctor that the whole family can go to but I will go to another pediatric office if I need to. We have United Healthcare Insurrance and I am willing to travel a little ways for the right doctor. Sorry this is so long!

What can I do next?

I live in Altamonte and am a preschool teacher. When I was pregnant with my first child, I listened to word of mouth and choose Dr. Chabon of Hunt Club Pediatrics. My Daughter is 4 and my son is 2. I love it there. The staff know my children by name. They have little staff turn over. We love the nurse practioner. They take walk-ins. No call needed! They are open half a day on Saturday.

We love Dr. Cannizzaro in Longwood. He has more holistic approach to his practice and is very knowledgable about nutrition. His website is www.pediatricianscareunit.com

Hi H.,

We are on our 3rd Pediatrician office in almost seven years. The first was Pediatrics of Orlando ###-###-####)(its a large office with lots of Dr.'s, though) which I really liked, but when I had a baby, I wanted to get closer since there are many more trips. They are located around East Colonial and Mills Ave. We move to Physicians Assoc(only two Dr.'s and two nurses) in Maitland and I was very unhappy with the staff, but the Dr.'s were nice. I've heard wonderful things about Altamonte Pediatrics ###-###-####) and have moved my kids there, but we have only gone once. They do have an office in Apopka with only one doctor located there who everyone I know raves about, but you have to go through the main office in Altamone the first time to get to her. I know that this is such a hard thing and wish you luck!
