Looking for a Good Consignment Shop
I am looking to sell alot of the clothes my daughter no longer fits into, I have had no luck with Craigs List and I really dont know much about Ebay. I was wondering if anyone knows of a consignment shop that buys your cloths from you. I am in the Clinton Twp area so it would have to be around the surrounding areas.

Hi I agree with doing the mom 2 mom sale. I do know a new resale shop opening Aug 1 called Little Rascals on 15 and Utica. I saw a flyer at my daughters dance studio. I have done a few mom 2 moms and made some good money you just have to know which ones are the good ones. If you need anymore info just ask. Good Luck!

Hi - call Childrens Orchard. They are located at Hall Road and Hayes. Trica is the owner. She is really nice. You would set up an appointment and she will meet with you.

I think your best bet is to sign up for a "mom to mom" sale - there are many in the area, usually in spring and fall. You generally have to pay to rent the table ($20) and then you get to sell your clothes and or big baby/kid items (strollers, cribs etc) as well. While getting ready for it is some work, the day istelf can be fun! Plus, when I did it, the people who had rented tables got first pick to go around for presales. I also hooked up with a mom who had a daughter a year old than mine so, after the first sale, she would call me ahead of time and I got to have first pick at her house. Here is the website: www.mom2momlist.com

I have to agree about just doing a mom 2 mom sale. Our church is having on in September. It's in Royal Oak, but it would be worth the drive. There's a web site set up just for the sale at www.StJohnsMom2Mom.com. Good luck!

You can also try Once Upon a Child on Rochester Road and South Blvd I believe.

There is also one on Garfield between 17 and 18 on the east side. I cannot remember the name of it though. They used to be better at taking items than The Children's Orchard who mostly take only name brand(or did, not sure about now).

Once upon a child on Telegraph and 8 Mile rd in southfield buys yours things back. Clothes, toys, cribs, bed, shoes just about everything but it must be in good shape and she will not buy or sell recalled items.

I know that it isn't close but there is a great shop in Rochester Hills called The Funky Frog. www.thefunkyfrogonline.com. They are very high-end and boutiqu-ish. I would recommend it but it might be geographically undesirable. Check out their web site or stop by.
good luck
