Looking for a Good Collection of Stories on CD for a Long Car Trip

THe library has an enormous collection of books on CD usually. Go right for the Disney ones - or try to find something that says "classics" on the cover. Oh THe Chronicles of Narnia totally rock too! My mom started us on those when we were toddlers.

Puff the magic dragon was my favorite as a lil' girl. The book comes with a Cd that has songs on it that go along with the story.

Also, many stores like target have a collection of cds (by the books and dvds) that are for kids and are modeled after the current cartoons, i.e. Backyardigans, Mickey mouse clubhouse,etc. Those might be worth a look!

I take my children to the library and allow them to choose books to read, also they can choose books on CD as well. This way you are not paying for the books and you can switch more often.

I like to download "This American Life" from NPR. Some of the stories are more entertaining to kids than others, but overall they are pretty funny.
