Looking for a Good Carpet Company
We are working on redoing our three bedrooms before baby comes. Can anyone recommend a good carpet company? I don't care if it's a big store or a small local guy. Please let me know all your experiences!
Edited to add: I'm in Royal Oak.

Hi,
Just a little word of caution. New carpet is one of the most toxic substances known. It continues to gas off toxic carcinogens for many years. Bringing a newborn into a freshly-carpeted and freshly painted-room is highly toxic and dangerous to their very susceptible immune systems.
Here are some websites you can refer to that can assist in making non-toxic choices for your new family.
WWW.ICEH.ORG (Institute For Children's Environmental Health)
WWW.CEHN.ORG (Children's Environmental Health Network)
WWW.BIOSHIELD.COM (Non-toxic Paints)
WWW.HEALTHYCHILD.ORG (Healthy Child Healthy World)
I wish you the best in learning about how to keep your newborn as safe as possible.

All-brite carpet is good its a very old company the installer has been there for 35 years he's is really good there are usually more than one installer. They work with you and your needs and prices. They will come out to you bring carpet samples and give you your estimate. I just started working for the company.. So if you went with them it would help me greatly. Will you let me know if your interested or not please? Good luck <3 god bless

We were recommended to use Perfect Floors at Auburn and John R. and were very happy with the service, pricing, and installation.

We had a fire last July 7th and I shopped all over for a reputable dealer. I bought a whole house of carpet , Linolium and ceramic from Havel Floor Company on Dixie Highway in Clarkston, Mi. They are a family owned company and have wonderful service. The construction company wanted me to go with there company and the total was a 8000. plus and I refused to buy from them. I was charged almost 800 dollars by the construction company because I did not go with there company. I found Havel (Tim) and did my whole house for 4,700 dollars. they did a wonderful job with the instalation and have had wonderful service. Give them a try I am sure you will be well pleased.
