Looking for a Fun Restaurant for 3 Year Old's Birthday

My daughter will be turning 3 very soon and we would like to go out to dinner with some family and close friends. I am looking for a fun restaurant for children so they are not sitting in their seats squirming the entire time! We've been to Life's a Beach and absolutely love it but if it rains that ruins the fun of playing outside in the sand. I live in Lewisville but would be willing to drive around 15-20 miles. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

We've been to Peter Piper Pizza and had a good time. Also, there is a place in Euless called Incredible Pizza. We've been a few times and always have a great time! They have a huge buffet, BIG gameroom, indoor putt putt and go karts, etc... My nephews 5th birthday was there and it was a huge hit. Here is their website: http://www.incrediblepizza.com/locations.php
Hope this helps. Good luck!

Life's a Beach on 407 in Highland Village..

Go early so you can sit outside. The back of the restaurant is a big yard of sand. Bring sand toys..

Love it - the parents can sit, eat, and talk... while watching the kiddos play.

Gotta to watch out for kids who throw sand though.

We took my husband to the Magic Time Machine in Addison. While he was less than thrilled, it would be a great place for children. Our server was the Johnny Depp version of Willy Wonka-he was a little freaky. We saw a lot of other neat characters, though.

I think 3-yr olds are too young for Magic Time Machine; what about Chuck E Cheese?

You should try Rainforest Cafe in Grapevine Mills Mall. My kiddos love it!! Happy birthday to your little girl! ~A.~

You may want to check the metroplexbaby.com website they have great kid listings :)

Rainforest Cafe in Grapevine Mills Mall is really neat. Kids love it!

Not sure of your family's tastes - but my kids love it when we go to this restaurant called Jin-Beh - it's hibachi style cooking - they cook in front of you and have a little show - the food is really good, but a little pricey. It's in Lewisville across from the mall area in the same shopping center as Garden Ridge. My boys are 5 & 6 - but my 2 year old neice loves it, too! They do this thing with flame that might freak her out a bit - so may not be the best choice, or you could ask them to tone the flame thing down - but it keeps my kids usually pretty well entertained and it's always nice to get a break from those kid-themed restaurants.
