Looking for a Food Dehydrator Locally
I have been looking for a food dehydrator. I found a bunch on line, but I want to be able to see them and compare them in person ( quality, size etc). My 3 year old is on a very restricted diet and I found that I could make crackers out of dried veggies and spices. Any ideas of where to look. We called Sears, Macy's and JC Penney. They don't carry them in store. Target only carries the Ronco brand - not exactly what I want. Thanks

Why not try Bed, Bath and Beyond or Linens & Things.

I don't think you can find them in stores. I have the Excalibor model and it's fantastic, easy to use and light to carry around (since it does take up a lot of counter space.

I had a GE dehydrator and found that it was just a hot air blower with plastic vented shelves. I've been using the oven, turned off, and cookie sheets. Works pretty well.

Hi L.,
My name is L., I just researched food dehydrators, I never like to buy things twice and I always research to find the best. I just purchased the Excalibur dehydrator and I love it. The smaller one works just fine for our family but if you plan on using it daily then it may be better to get the bigger industrial one. It's great and it has a lot of nice add on features. I like the fruit leathers the best and the vegie chips are great too..
