I had my first birth at 40 at home with her and it was wonderful.

I recommend Jade Lotus Midwifery, I had a really wonderful experience with Lis. Also Mason Cornelius is fabulous, her apprentice and I are very good friends. I have had two wonderful homebirths and can't recommend it enough! You may also call Susan Claypool, I'm not sure if she's working right now but she is the most experienced midwife in Northern California and she's in Oakland! ###-###-####.

hi C.,
i had my baby at home too, as i was born 32 years ago. check out the "bay area homebirth collective." good luck and sweet birth!

Hi

I am T. M clean a student midwife and I would reccommend checking out the Berekely Parents Network it is a great online resource for all things pregnancy. Just google BPN. Or you can google my name and it will take you there.

There is one midwife that is very close to you

Tenaya Jackman. She is a friend of mine and mentor of mine. She is terrific so check her out as well.

Also check out Selena Green, she is at http://sacredbirthplace.com/
Selena has a birth center as well as a homebirth practice I really like her as well.

Hi there. I highly recommend the women of Awakenings Birth Services. Juli, Deborah, and Sharon are the most amazing home birth midwives I have known in the bay area. They are unbelievably knowledgeable, compassionate, and open to what you need and want for your birth. Their website is:

i am sure you can contact them from there. good luck with everything and congratulations.

I highly recommend you call Amrit Khalsa, who is a fantastic midwife. Not sure if this is a current number for her or not, but I found it online ###-###-####. She's amazing. I think you will find she has the personality you're looking for! Congrats and best of luck!

I am currently working with Judy Luce, and plan to do a home / water birth. (Due date was yesterday, so just waiting...) Here is her website: http://www.judylucehomebirth.com/index.html

Good luck and congrads!

For my pregnancy & birth I had the midwives at Awakenings Birth Services. I planned a homebirth with birthing tub, but gave birth at St. Luke's due to pre-eclampsia and they were so supportive through the whole process. I also have attended two homebirths of a friend with them. www.awakeningsbirthservices.com
