Looking for a Doula - Englewood,CO

I'm looking for a doula for my baby's birth at Sky Ridge Medical Center, but picking one from the lists I've found online feels too much like picking a plumber from the yellow pages. Has anyone used a birth doula on the south side of the metro area that they would recommend?

What can I do next?

I used Deb Greiner as a doula--she was my Bradley instructor as well, and does great follow-up. She was available to ask all kinds of questions to about birth and parenting. She is a mom of 7--and so has lots of experience! ###-###-####

I highly recommend Heather McInally! Her business is called Birth Angel, ###-###-####, ____@____.com, www.birthangel.net. Heather is a friend of mine and we do a lot of business together. (I am a prenatal massage therapist.) She has worked with many of my clients and they all love her and are highly satisfied with her services. Best of luck and congratulations!

My good friend Ellen, of WellBegun, whose number is ###-###-####, is a doula. I've never used her as we meet since my last child was born, but I'm in the process of taking Bradley classes from her. She is also a La Leche League leader so she can help with breastfeeding too. She is wonderful and we've talked a lot about my previous pregnancies. Besides being caring and helpful, she really knows her stuff. I think her business is also listed here on Mamasource.

I am a doula and my website is www.birthfirstdoula.com. If you want more resources, go to www.doulamatch.com and enter your due date and zip code. Let me know if you have any questions!

Sweet Beginnings in Littleton has a "Meet the Doula" night every couple of weeks or once a month so that you could actually meet a few and interview in person rather than calling off a list. Unfortunately my doula I used a couple years ago no longer "doulas". You should be able to google or 411 Sweet Beginnings phone #. Good luck!
