Looking for a Company That Will Pick-up Donations
I live in Lakeview and am getting ready to move. I have a loveseat and a large chair to donate and would like to find an organization willing to pick these pieces up. Any suggestions?

Try the National Children's Cancer Society. They scheduled a pick up for me pretty quickly.

The Salvation Army will pick up your items and provide you with a receipt for tax purposes. Depending on your location, they onl pick up one day a week though so it could take a couple weeks notice. We donated some items last summer and they were the only place that was willing to pick up large items.

The Salvation Army will pick up donations, but you usually need to give them some advance notice. (Probably at least a week or two in advance). I'd give them a call...
Good luck with your move!

Hi B.,
We just had Salvation Army come and pick up and bunch of furniture from us. The number to call and schedule a pick up is ###-###-####. Good luck.

I used white elephant about 5 years ago. I liked it better than salvation army b/c they gave me a 1 or 2 hour window when they were coming and with the salvation army it was more like a 4-5 hour window. I don't know if it is the same now.
